HTC CEO Peter Chou has told Digitimes that the company is expected to break their one million Touch Diamond shipment by mid-August. This is about 2 months after HTC start selling the new HTC Touch Diamond. HTC has previously estimated to ship 2-3 millions Touch Diamond in this year.

Vincent on SlashGear has got the chance to play with the new HTC Touch Pro, unfortunately there isn't battery in it. The HTC Touch Pro has a rounded edges design compare to HTC Touch Diamond. Addtional five-row QWERTY keyboard is also adding the extra thickness to the slider phone.

Most of the users who got their HTC Touch Diamond in Singapore last week have the ROM version 1.35.871.5WWE on their phone. Baronic in xda-developers forum has obtained a newer ROM version 1.37.707.1WWE from a Malaysia distributor and successfully upgraded his Diamond, he bought the Diamond in Malaysia.

According to digitimes, HTC has shipped its first 10,000 HTC Touch Diamond smartphone to Hong Kong CSL. It will be on track for them to start selling the new smartphone with TouchFlo 3D next month. The company is also start to deliver the Touch Diamond to Europe.
