As most of us know, the HTC HD2 is running with Windows Mobile 6.5. But if the HD2 owner wish to change it to Android then it also possible. You can hack your device and it will let you get Android on your HD2 phone. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the best hack out there. A new port has shows up on XDA-developers Forum that will resolve all the missing features and all difficulty.

The new port will allows the users to load the Android OS directly into the HTC HD2′s NAND ROM. The developer mention that the new port was made for Android on the device to be as close as possible to the HTC Desire stock ROM.

To be able to download Android new OS, its require MAGLDR 1.10 and the new Android port from the developer DFT. The download files is available via XDA Developer forum.

Powermat is a wireless charger that easily used anywhere you go. They are specifically made for smartphone such as iPhone and other portable gadgets. It’s very easy to operate, you just need to applied a custom battery door receiver and placed the device directly on top of the Powermat pad. Previously, Powermat support on devices rather limited. But now, they offered a wireless charger for HTC EVO 4G.

This time Powermat sure done their job properly. No more bulgy and dramatic coloring with over sized metallic silver Powermat symbol. As you can see on the picture and video, the battery door receiver that they provide much more slimmer, providing the exact same structure and form factor of the device. The new powermat also work on several other devices includes HTC EVO 4G, Motorola DROID X, HTC HD2, BlackBerry Bold 9700, BlackBerry Curve 8500/9300, and iPhone 4. You can purchase the Powermat kit for HTC EVO 4G on $59.99 at Best Buy or at the Powermat webpage. Also, they have larger pad for many devices station and the receiver for $39.99.

According to the European leaks, the HTC HD7 will be launch on October along the side of WP7. Meanwhile, there are no words on launching date for US. But, we’re expecting its arrival very soon.

Basically, you can consider this one a simple Public Service Announcement. Truth be told, we’re hoping that this is, indeed, just as T-Mobile USA suggests: a one day event to help stimulate sales, because the best device (at least in retail stores right now) going down this low so soon after its launch isn’t a good sign. Either way, it’s a good deal, without a doubt, so if you have been waiting for today, you’ll need to make sure and jump in on the action soon.

T-Mobile’s website is offering the HTC HD2, which runs Window’s Mobile under the beautiful HTC Sense UI, and features a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen, along with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor under the hood, for only $99.99 today. And, just to reiterate the important part: today only. There’s also no word on whether or not this goes for people upgrading, as obviously T-Mobile would love to focus on new customers.

And, considering we already know that HTC have already sold out of this bad-boy once or twice in the past, you should act quickly with this one. One hundred dollars for one of the best smartphones on the market, even compared to the competition, is a pretty monumental day. Of course, if you do happen to order your very own HD2 from the website, let us know. We love to hear that our readers are out there, buying phones!

Clove’s taking the limelight today, it seems. At least with this little bit of news, we can officially say it’s good news. That is, if you’re a fan of Windows Mobile 6.5.3 and HTC’s Sense UI. While the HD Mini may not pack all of the goodness that its big brother, the HD2, brings to the table, we can safely say that the HD Mini does what it needs to do, and it does it well. It’s super-thin, 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive screen works well enough, especially for its size. And we’re sure that there’s going to be plenty of people out there wanting to order it.

Clove is selling the device for £275 without VAT, and £323.17 with it, if you prefer. We have to applaud them for pricing it so cheaply, especially when you compare it to the £200 difference between it and the HD2. Considering the latter has a 1Ghz processor and 4.3-inch screen, we can understand why the 3.2-inch screen and 600MHz processor of the HD Mini would make it less costly.

You can order the phone starting right now if you want. If you’re curious, the £275 equals about $418, so you could probably find the HD Mini unlocked for about the same price. Would we say that the HD2 might be a better purchase, even if it is more expensive? Sure. But, that large screen isn’t for everyone, so we’d have to suggest maybe trying them both out before going the purchase route.

This one isn’t going to be the normal type post, because truth be told, you’ve probably heard enough about the specifications of the HD2. And if not, then head over here and check out our review of the device. Once you get caught up, we’ll pleasantly remind you that the HD2 went on sale on March 24th, and subsequently sold out. And then it came back online, back on the market, if you will, but it looks like that didn’t last long at all (again).

We’re hearing reports that the HD2 is sold out again, and right now, T-Mobile USA doesn’t know when stock will be back in a position of any worth. We’re seriously shocked at this. We know the device is easily the best Windows Mobile handset available, and yes, the physical manufacturing of the handset is beyond compare (kind of), but this is blowing our minds. Sold out, twice, in less than two weeks. That’s impressive, no matter how you shake a stick at it.

Here’s a quote from a T-Mobile USA representative about the existence of the HD2:

The HD2 has been very popular and is currently sold out in many locations. We are working as quickly as we can to secure additional inventory. We will post updates here on when additional inventory will be available.

Some Retail stores may still have inventory. If you live near a T-Mobile location, you can contact them to see if they have inventory remaining.Click here for a list of T-Mobile locations. We suggest you contact stores via phone before visiting to see if they have inventory on hand. If they do not have inventory, they should be able to take your name and notify you when they have stock in stores.

We will continue to keep you updated on the life expectancy of the device, and let you know as soon as we hear that you can order it from their website again.

Can you hear that? It’s the sound of people cheering in the streets. After you read this, you’ll want to do the same. Sure, the rush may have died out, but are you sure you want to take that risk? Because it would look like T-Mobile USA has a sure-fire hit on their hands, so it seems pretty important that you be part of that experience.

The HTC HD2 is one of those rare devices that achieves two things at once. First, it proves that with the right hardware and software tweaks, any mobile Operating System can become useful. And second, that beautiful technology will always prevail. There’s no arguing that the HD2 is a beautiful piece of tech. That gorgeous 4.3-inch TFT LCD screen, running Sense UI, makes the whole thing a piece of eye candy. And, we’re suckers for candy.

There’s a bit of bad news, though. It’s looking like T-Mobile USA brick-and-mortar stores are still on the low-end of the devices. In fact, many of them are still sold-out. We put in a few calls to the local stores in our area, and they’ve confirmed this. There’s no word yet, either, one when they could get their inventory stocked. But, if we hear anything, we’ll bring it to your attention. Then again, you could always try RadioShack.

There wasn’t a doubt in anyone’s mind that the HTC HD2 was going to get Windows Phone 7 Series, the next mobile Operating System from Redmond-based Microsoft. Sure, the official word on the street is that the company has overlooked their Windows Mobile 6.5 powerhouse due to some button mishaps, but that’s not stopping the powerful XDA community from doing what they do best: port ROMs.

Thanks to a team over in Russia (yes, Russia), we’re getting video proof that the ROM is indeed hacked onto the current generation HD2. The good news doesn’t stop there, though. Everything seems to be working just fine: GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth. Which, if you’re familiar with porting ROMs at all, those are some of the things that can get lost in the translation. But, as the videos are showing off, everything is working, and that’s great news. Though, we can definitely see some lag, which probably has everything to do with the graphics driver. No easy fix to that, but what’s a little lag when you think about the fact that you have Windows Phone 7 Series on your HD2. Check out the videos to see it for yourself. The Russian-based team is saying that they should have this ready to go soon. That’s definitely before this holiday season, which means thanks to the developers out there, we might see Windows Phone 7 Series hit the market long before Microsoft intended it to. Thumbs up.

The HTC HD2 is one of those devices we can’t get away from. The name, and that beautiful screen, just keeps popping up when we least expect it. It doesn’t help that it just went on sale here in America on the 24th, after a long over due stay in Europe. Apparently that stay across the pond did well for the device’s perception, because if rumors are true, then the HD2 sold out in just four hours.

We wanted to give these reports a day to stew, as we were wondering if T-Mobile USA would come out and say that they had extra stock somewhere, but that didn’t happen. In fact, on T-Mobile USA’s website, where you can pick up the handset for $199.99 on a new 2-year contract, it’s listed as sold out. We’re fans of the device, and we know that if you’ve read the review, you are too, but it would seem that a complete selling out of the handset is pretty big for the company. Unless, of course, their online storefront only managed to wrangle in 15 handsets. Then it might not be that big of a deal.

However, the report also goes on to say that most every T-Mobile USA store has also sold out. That’s telling us that the HD2 was a smash-hit, and that despite its inability to update to Windows Phone 7 Series later this year (plus, it’s not the HD2′s brother, the EVO 4G), that’s not stopping anyone from sticking to the current generation software for fantastic hardware. Kudos to HTC and T-Mobile then, for striking up some fire under, what many would consider, an already out-dated handset. Now, if T-Mobile USA would go ahead and release some numbers, that would be greatly appreciated.
