You can find HTC Diamond in 7 different colors – Rose, White, Mocca, Blue, Purple, Red and Yellow on a French retailer’s Phone&Phone site. Not sure whether all 7 colors are also available for the rest of the world.

Personally, I like the yellow one…

HTC Expect to Ship 3 Millions HTC Touch Diamond This Year

Instead of previous forecast of 2 million units, a chinese newspaper “Commercial Times” reported that the CEO Peter Chou now expects to see 3 Millions units sold in the next 7 months starting June.

HTC To Start Selling New HTC Diamond in Taiwan from June

HTC has just presented their new HTC Diamond in a press conference in Taiwan yesterday. Available in late June, a HTC Diamond without mobile subscription contract will cost about $772 USD. According to one of the staff, the price might be different in different region.

Other than the Diamond presentation, HTC CEO has even did a drop test to make sure his HTC Diamond is as hard as a diamond (watch video below). Event reports can be read from here (chinese) or here (chinese)

HTC Diamond Keyboard Extracted for Your Windows Mobile Device

The people at xda-developer did it again, you can now install the new HTC Diamond virtual keyboard in your Windows Mobile device.

The hacked software should work with most Windows Mobile pocket pc phone. Currently the keyboard support Italian and English, once you install it is default to Italian language, you can change it easily at the setting option.

Here is a quick hands on video on the new HTC TouchFLO 3D UI, overall the transition between the menu is pretty impressive, although we still can see some lagging on the Windows Mobile. The most funny part is when the HTC staff accidentally jump out from the TouchFLO to the original Windows Mobile interface, someone is actually screaming.

HTC has uploaded tons of videos on YouTube for its new TouchFLO 3D user interface. Running Windows Mobile 6.1 on a VGA touchscreen, HTC have developed a new, three-dimensional version of their GUI overlay, called TouchFLO 3D. This offers full homescreen access to all the applications and device status, as well as CoverFlow-style media browsing and rich icon animation.

HTC Touch Diamond officially announced

HTC today announced the Touch Diamond, their latest smartphone and an attempt by the company to wrest back the mobile internet crown from Apple’s iPhone. Running Windows Mobile 6.1 on a VGA touchscreen, HTC have developed a new, three-dimensional version of their GUI overlay, called TouchFLO 3D. This offers full homescreen access to all the applications and device status, as well as CoverFlow-style media browsing and rich icon animation.

HTC haven’t skimped on the connectivity, either. The Touch Diamond has 7.2Mbps HSDPA and HSUPA for super-fast uploads and downloads. That will be put to good use in the re-skinned Opera 9 browser, which HTC will be including in the smartphone’s ROM. In a demonstration today, HTC execs showed the browser zooming and reflowing text with a simple tap, as well as manually controlling the zoom level with the touch-sensitive scroll wheel (that doubles as the D-pad). The Touch Diamond also features an accelerometer, such as found in the iPhone, which can recognise which way up the handset is being held and orient the screen accordingly.

The company is calling the smartphone their “Usable Mobile Internet” device. It also has a custom version of YouTube, which execs described as “the best mobile YouTube experience”; Apple aren’t going to like that. Although hardware details are yet to be announced, in the demonstration the phone ran smoothly and with no slow-downs no matter whether playing media, browsing the internet or anything else.

The handset will be launched in Europe and Asia in June, with the rest of the world later on in 2008. No prices have been revealed. All we have seen until now are grainy spy shots of the HTC Diamond. Now, we have some images that are quite a bit better. These images were revealed today, but they are not the only surprise. In addition to the beautiful images, we now have a rumored feature list. It is important to remember these are not official, but are looking pretty solid.

This device brings some serious features to the table. For multi media, this thing packs a 2.8 inch VGA screen, 3.2 megapixel camera, and FM radio. It is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1, and also packs a 528MHz CPU to get things done. There is a option for MicroSD expansion, but if that is not your thing, it has 4GB of memory built right in. To stay connected, you get quad band GSM, HSDPA 7.6mbps, and WiFi. All the high speed you can handle, is at your finger tips. This thing is very thin, at only 10.7mm.

There are a few unconfirmed features on this device. It has been rumored there is a accelerometer in the device. Also, there is a possible QWERTY. To know for sure, we are just going to have to wait until May 6th, until then, allow yourself to get lost in the pictures of this glorious HTC device.
