The low cost Android smartphone is expected to be priced at $99 with 2-years service contract and after the mail-in-rebate.

The Android smartphone is said to be listed as one of the Droid Series from Verizon Wireless. It cames with touch sensitive buttons below the touch screen, another 2 hardware buttons and track ball will be available too for navigation, call answering and call ending.

The Droid Eris is not going to be announced together with the Motorola Sholes / Motorola Droid on October 28th. According to the source it will be available from November 6th next month after Motorola Droid.

There is no photos or other detail specs available from FCC though, it should be announced soon and will be the first Android smartphone to be used with Verizon Wireless CDMA network.
