On the other hand, if you are curios regarding the Daily Steals. It’s a “one sale a day” website which means you have 24hours to hurry up and purchased the device. Unfortunately, since its the unlocked version, you won’t be able to use it on Verizon’s 4G LTE network and it only available on 16GB version. However, it would work perfectly fine via both AT&T and T-Mobile.

As most of us might have heard, a rumor going around about the iPhone 5 release date will be on September this year. And now, according to Fran Shammo, Verizon CFO, the next generation of Apple handset will acquire ‘global service’.

Fran clearly stated as the following:

The fluctuation, I believe, will come when a new device from Apple is launched, whenever that may be, and that we will be, on the first time, on equal footing with our competitors on a new phone hitting the market, which will also be a global device.

This is quite interesting. Another rumor also saying that the next generation of iPhone might get a dual-mode GSM / CDMA. What kind of device will the iPhone 5 be?

An image of Samsung SCH-W899 has appeared today. Unique design that compliment its dual screen clampshell by bringing back the old style flip phone. As you can see on the image below, it comes with two 3.3-inch Super AMOLED screens which placed back to back configuration. The handset primary screen acted as a normal smartphone usage but on the other hand, the second screen will be activate when you open it as if you are using a normal flip phone.

Under the hood you can find 1GHz Qualcomm SnapDragon processor, 512 MB of RAM, and dual SIM slots. It got a 5MP rear facing camera with LED flash. Currently, the device runs on Android 2.2 aka Froyo but there’s possibility on getting Gingerbread when it launch. Another thing is that the device is a GSM device which mean it eaither heading to AT&T or T-Mobile.

The HTC Hero, which was initially launched in Europe back in 2009, was the flagship device to showcase Android 1.5. For all intents and purposes, it was the next best thing to sliced bread at the time, and it was only made better by HTC’s customized Sense User Interface (UI). Now, though, Android users are officially on Android 2.1, and Android 2.2 is right around the corner (officially, that is). So, where’s the update to 2.1 for the original 1.5 device? Apparently, it’s just now starting to roll out.

Unfortunately, it won’t be showing up in Europe today. In fact, HTC –which is based out of Taiwan– has just announced that the update is rolling out to Taiwan customers only at the moment. They’ll be getting the notification for the Android OS upgrade in an Over the Air (OTA) message throughout the next few days.

Has HTC announced when other countries in Asia, and especially European customers, will get the coveted upgrade? Not even a little bit. But, at least it’s starting, one way or another. Hopefully it won’t be too long from now. Of course, Hero owners should just be happy they’re getting it, even if it does mean they probably won’t see Anrdroid 2.2 at all. Something’s better than nothing.

While GSM is still globally adopted, that doesn’t mean that CDMA should be left in the dust, does it? Of course not. And lucky for those in China, where CDMA is still dominant, Samsung has been nice enough to drop their very first Bada-powered handset in their market. Well, they’re going to drop it in the market, soon, as an exact date hasn’t been given yet.

The GSM variation of the Samsung Wave is already available in some European markets, and we know that there’s quite a few jealous individuals out there. And for good reason. Both the CDMA- and GSM-based models are the same, featuring a 3.3-inch WVGA Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, Bada OS, TouchWiz 3.0 User Interface (UI), GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 3.0, a 5MP camera on the back, a 1GHz processor, and the ability to record HD video. Yes, we know: it’s impressive.

Like we said above, there’s no official word on when the handset will make its debut in China, but at least we know there’s a CDMA variant running around out there, getting ready to drop on (un)suspecting people. It’s definitely a good move by Samsung, as offering up more models just means more money, as more people will be given the opportunity to buy it. Now, all we need is to hear that Verizon Wireless or Sprint over in the States is picking it up, and we’ll be right as rain.

Let’s start this morning off with a few rounds of Nokia news, shall we? First, Nokia has officially announced that the Nokia X2 is heading to India. It’s one of the company’s “simple devices,” which means that’s it’s not going to give you all the fruits of a major smartphone, but it will still get the job done in classic Nokia fashion. But, don’t let any of that fool you: this little device still packs some hits.

The Nokia X2 is a simple S40 device, but as we mentioned above, it comes with a few added features to make the whole thing worth it. For example, there’s a 5MP camera on the back. That’s definitely a good start, if you ask us. On the software end of things, you’re looking at a full suite of Ovi products, which even includes “Comes With Music” service. You’ll also get Nokia Messaging, and a built-in Facebook feature as well.

The device is a quad-band GSM handset, and it’s going to be available in other markets like Latin America, Canada, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East some time the second quarter of this year (so, really soon). Unfortunately, there isn’t any word on when this device might make it State-side, but we don’t imagine it will unless one of the carriers picks it up and subsidizes it.

It’s been awhile since we got the last shot from Mr. Blurrycam. We can’t say that we’re happy to have him back, but at least we get our first spy shot of the LG GM360 in the wild, so that’s got to count for something. You’re looking at an LG device that, for the most part, has been flying around the world under the radar. It’s shown up a few times, but not so much as it is right now. And now, for sure, we can confirm that it’s a dual-SIM handset.

These photos are coming straight from Brazil, one of the places where the handset itself is rumored to be launched some time later this year. There’s a few shots which LG Central managed to wrangle up, but the key ones are the front-facing one, and the second image below, where you can clearly see that there are spaces for two SIM cards. On the front, though, there’s a 3-inch touchscreen display (no word on whether or not it’s capacitive our resistive, unfortunately), with a WQVGA resolution. It’s got GSM/EDGE connectivity, FM radio, music player, and it’s got a 5MP camera on the back to boot. There’s also USB, Bluetooth, and support for MicroSD cards.

As we said above, there’s no word on when the device will be made available, but those rumors swirling around suggest that it should be soon. Brazil is a hot ticket, but considering the GSM/EDGE connectivity, it could pinpoint quite a few places around the world. As soon as we know more, we’ll pass it along.
