Take Google Maps for mobile in your pocket, so you can go wherever you want and make sure you won't get lost. Yeah, it's the main objective of this latest Google's application. Google Maps for mobile with public transit directions is available (at http://m.google.com/nyc) for Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Symbian Series 60, and many Java-based phones.

This week Google have released a new version of Google Maps for mobile, adding the "Street View" feature. You can see the actual photo of your search result, for example a restaurant, on your phone directly by clicking on the Street View link after you got the search result.

Google has just released an updated version of their Google Maps for mobile to version 2.2. The version 2.2 is available for Symbian S60 (3rd edition or later) and Windows Mobile (2005 or later). The new version has already been released to Blackberry devices and Java-based software, they are adding the Transit directions feature to even more mobile devices today.

Other than the new Googld Talk for Apple iPhone, Google Maps for mobile team has also announced a new voice search feature on its search application. The new feature is compatible with a select group of BlackBerry devices at the moment include BlackBerry Pearl 8110, 8120 and 8130 in US.
