Flutter is a free service that lets iPhone users send picture messages and optional geo-tag location data to mobile phone via sms. Flutter transmits picture messages over Wi-Fi internet connections or via a user’s existing carrier data plan.

It is not quite a true MMS solution though, the following explains it:

The recipient doesn’t get a true MMS. They get an SMS with a link to view your message in their phone’s browser. The disadvantage of this is that the recipient needs a web-capable phone.

Flutter is currently available for North America users.
