Samsung Debuts the Diva Collection 2010 with S7070 and S5150

Samsung this week debuts its new Diva fashion series with the Diva (S7070) and the Diva folder (S5150) as its first new models in the ‘Samsung Diva Collection 2010′. Samsung plans to introduce Samsung Diva Collection models annually to satiate the inner needs of women mobile phone users.

“Today’s modern women play many roles, from fashionista to heroine. The Samsung Diva Collection delivers mobile phones accentuating all aspects of the stylish, attention-getting woman to let the diva in everyone come to life,” said Younghee Lee, Vice President of Mobile Marketing, Samsung Electronics. “The Samsung Diva Collection 2010 is a part of Samsung’s long-term goal to meet the unquenched needs of one of our most important target group, women mobile users.”

With the 3.2 megapixel camera featuring ‘Beauty Effect’ and ‘Lomo Effect’, the Diva S7070 has a diamond-shaped crystal button on the front. It enables keeping track of communications with friends and colleagues simple and easy. Pop-up SNS gives instant notifications when friends make updates on social networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace. Multi-instant messenger combines all of the user’s accounts into one easy-to-use application so the users can always stay connected.

Other features designed especially for women include security features such as ‘SOS Message’ and ‘Fake Call’ that offer peace of mind in potentially unsafe situations. ‘Wish List’ helps to organizing your shopping life, while ‘Etiquette Mode,’ enables users to instantaneously silence their mobile when necessary.

The Diva S5150 folder offers a shiny, silver-toned back cover featuring a 3D quilted pattern. A hidden LED screen, called “glittering LED,” illuminates to notify an incoming message or a call. Like Diva, Diva folder also offers various image editing features such as ‘Beauty Shot’ and ‘Lomo Effect,’ and built-in security features including ‘SOS Message’ and ‘Fake Call.’

The Samsung Diva Collection 2010 will be launched in January 2010 in the Netherlands, Russia, Ukraine and other European countries, followed by Southeastern Asia and China.

LG BL20 Chocolate Phone Officially Announced

LG today announces its second New Chocolate phone, BL20, featuring a sliding keypad. Available in the UK in Q4 at O2, the BL20 features a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash in a slim casing measuring just 12.3mm in depth. It will support GSM Triband network, though 3G data connection is not included but with a EDGE instead. The chocolate bar also features touch-sensitive controls which are discretely concealed on the sides of the phone.

Widget Hotkeys enable users to personalise the phone to directly access favourite features for weather, news or personal updates. A new feature includes Clear Memo Capture which captures text, handwritten notes and drawings with maximum clarity, offering a different way to record information.

Other than a 5 megapixel camera, a 60MB internal memory and microSD card slot (up to 16GB) should be good enough for music and photo files storage.

LG BL20 Chocolate Phone Displayed in new colors officially

Together with the LG BL40 as the company new range of Chocolate fashion phone, the unannounced LG BL20 is being displayed in LG’s new retail store in Holland. Unlike LG BL40, the BL20 does not have a long touch screen but comes in a slider form factor instead. The slider phone has a 2.4-inch QVGA TFT display, 5 megapixel camera, Flash LED, Bluetooth and built in FM Radio receiver. In addition to the original Black color design, it should be also available in white/pink and black/grey color combination according to allaboutphones.nl.

Sony Ericsson Unveils Jalou Fashion Phone

Not the Sony Ericsson Jalou we heard recently with full touch screen, Sony Ericsson has indeed got a new model called Sony Ericsson Jalou but designed in fashion with clamshell. It is also the first Sony Ericsson to feature Walk Mate step counter and has an exclusive fashion interface which automatically updates with zodiac signs and special events throughout the year. Jalou will be available in a variety of gem inspired colours including: Deep Amethyst, Aquamarine Blue and Onyx Black.

“Structured forms, intricate corners, hidden depths and jewel accents are set to be some of the hottest fashion trends in 2010. You can also expect to see deep and natural jewel colours on the runway next year. Jalou reflects these trends with its delicate facet-cut diamond shape design, clean and expressive lines and variety of different shine and matt finishes, that give depth to the handset,” comments Charles Hunt, Jalou head designer at Sony Ericsson. “The design team wanted the handset to reflect beauty found in nature. They looked at structure, strength and form in various crystalline jewels, which resulted in the unique shape.”

Other features include the 3.2 megapixel camera, music player, video recording, 3G, Bluetooth, built-in FM radio and Internet where you can check your email, watch YouTube clips, Google, as well as upload your video and photos to your favourite social networking sites. The Jalou will also be available in Dolce&Gabbana edition, comes with extra accessories and preloaded mobile content.

Jalou supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and UTMS/HSPA 900/1700/2100. Jalou will be available in the fourth quarter 2009 in the colours Deep Amethyst, Aquamarine Blue and Onyx Black.

MWC2009: This is so futuristic, LG GD900 Has Transparent Keypad

LG today unveiled its new LG-GD900 fashion phone, aims to make a stand out with its unique transparent keypad. When the sliding keypad is opened, the keypad illuminates a cool glow that reflects the phone’s sleek and polished silver body. When available, a bluetooth headset specially designed for the GS900 will be included with the retail package.

The LG-GD900 is scheduled for release during the second quarter of 2009 and the phone’s detail specifications will be unveiled at that time. However, visitors at the Mobile World Congress will have an exciting opportunity to get a glimpse of LG-GD900, one of the most sensational new handsets at the LG Electronics booth (Hall 8).
