Nokia Announces New E-Series “Officially” on Reuters

It is not a secret anymore with Nokia posted the E71 and E66 flash demonstrationon their website. Yet Nokia has take its time to release the official info on the new business devices. A senior executive has confirmed the upcoming E-series to Reuters, although he did not confirm the phone model.

“We will in the third quarter bring to the market the N96 we have launched and a group of E-series multimedia computers that will be sure to have a strong stamp on where this market is going,” Anssi Vanjoki, senior executive vice presidentof Nokia Markets, told Reuters on Monday.

According to Reuters, Nokia will release the info in this 2 weeks. Both E-series multimedia computers will be available in this quarter. Most likely you will see the announcement before the CommunicAsia 2008, which is being held from 17 to 20 June 2008 in Singapore.

Nokia Demos E66 and E71 Online

As we were waiting for the official press announcement for the Nokia E66 and E71, both of them are still not yet to be announced until now. Over the weekend Nokia has put up the flash demo on their website.

Both the flash demonstration have a good bunch of information and features about the Nokia E66 and Nokia E71. Head over there now before Nokia pull it down from the website. You can also watch the video review from BGR last week here.

Rumor: Nokia E66 and E71 Press Photos

You have read quite a number of Nokia E66 and E71 rumors previously, although it didn’t get released on the rumor schedule, gsmhelpdesk.nl has claimed to have obtained the following press images of the Nokia E66 and E71.

The Nokia E66 continue the E6x series design with the sliding body. It keep the phone smaller with a bigger screen for business purpose like reading email or web surfing. The Nokia E71 will be the slimmest business phone in the e-series. At a just 10mm thickness, the slim device has a full QWERTY keyboard for business users. Its dimension is said to be 112 x 57 x 10 mm, and will comes with support of UMTS, HSDPA and WiFi. A built in GPS module has also been confirmed, and we also knew that it will have a 3.2 megapixel camera at its back.

More Nokia E66, E71 Spyshots too!

We heard that Nokia E71 will be announced today (Thursday), Engadget has obtained some spyshots of the E71. Those also include a few snaps on the unannounced Nokia E66, a slider business phone without a QWERTY keyboard. Both the Nokia E66 and E71 get a 3.2 megapixel camera with a flash LED for low light photography.

Compare to Nokia E61/E61, the E71 is definitely a winner with a slimmer dimension. It is said to have built in GPS, WiFi, bluetooth and support HSDPA data connection. Not much info on the Nokia E66, though it is also possible that Nokia will announce the E66 together with the E71 today. Stay tune for more updates today!

Rumor: Nokia E71 and E66 Have a Shiny Back Cover

Nokia E71 and E66 have been leaked again. Today the photos include part of the back design of both phones. With a 11mm thickness, the rumor Nokia E71 will come with a 3.2 megapixel camera, microSD card slot and built-in GPS. WiFi, HSDPA and bluetooth are all included without a miss.

Nokia E66 (the last photo below) will also get a 3.2 megapixel camera. Both camera module on E71 and E66 support auto focus and have a built in flash LED. Both models should be high end business phone with GSM Quadband, HSDPA, WiFi, GPS, bluetooth and expansion card slot built in.
