Say Where is powered by Dial Directions’ proprietary voice-entry technology for mobile services and devices. Here’s how the free Say Where application works:

1. Users speak into their iPhone and say any place they want, like “524 Broadway,” “hardware store,” “Delfina Pizza,” or “Golden Gate Bridge”
2. Users choose a mobile site to launch

Consumers can register at www.dialdirections.com/iphone to be notified of Say Where’s availability.

The initial trial will include a new “Directions” link on the deck of select Virgin Mobile USA phones. After clicking the link, callers are then prompted to speak any address or intersection for both their start and destination. Callers will receive the driving directions by text message.
