KDDI Gets Sony Ericsson 16 megapixels Cyber-shot S006 Handset

Who would know a small device like Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot S006 can obtained 16 megapixels camera. KDDI has been busy announcing all of their newest devices but we can’t ignore this bad boy. The cellphone will have Sony’s new 16.4 megapixel CMOS sensor.

Inside of the device you will have ISO settings up to ISO 12800. It features a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 3.3-inch screen (said to be VGA, though we’re assuming it’s actually HVGA or WVGA), and built-in WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. The device is exclusive to KDDI japan only.

Sony Ericsson Idou Silver Confirmed, Live Photos Available

Remember the news about Sony Ericsson Idou getting silver color from semcblog? MobileCowBoys.nl has got a chance to take a few photos of the silver touch screen phones, which has also confirmed the rumor.

Sony Ericsson Idou is a full touch screen phone featuring a 12 megapixel camera. It will be available by the end of this year and according to recent rumor, it should be released by October or November. Check out a few more photos below:

During the press announcement in Mobile World Congress two months back, Sony Ericsson did not have a confirmed released date for its Idou touch screen phone but only said due for second half of the year. Gustaf Brusewitz from Sony Ericsson Sweden has told mobil.se that it will be available in either October or November, which is almost the end of year 2009 for christmas season.

Sony Ericsson in Germany has now informed that the sales of Sony Ericsson’s 12 MP mobile Idou will start in October or November. Sony Ericsson’s german product manager also says that Idou is just the first model in a series of entertainment phones from Sony Ericsson.

It is to the german WEB site Teltarif Sony Ericsson’s german product and pr manager now has given more details about the rumoured super mobile from Sony Ericsson.

- Idou is the project name for the first phone model. The focus for this project and the promis behind it is “Unlimited entertainment”. It is much more than just picture and music functions, for instance games, social networks or complete video services says Sony Ericsson’s german product manager Steffen Grosch.

More models in the series with focus on “unlimited entertainment” as in Idou are also on the way, according to Sony Ericsson’s german product manager.

Sony Ericsson Idou will have Symbian’s new operating system, which among other things is based on Nokia’s Series 60 and Sony Ericsson’s UIQ. The system will according to Symbian be complete around the summer.

Idou will also have a 12 MP camera, built-in GPS and a large 3.5″ touch screen.

According to german Sony Ericsson Idou will be available in October, but not later than November. According to Gustaf Brusewitz on Swedish Sony Ericsson however, the only information provided is that Idou will be available “sometimes during the second half of this year.”

Sony Ericsson Idou, the company first 12 megapixel camera phone, is said to be available in silver too according to semcblog. The full touch screen phone is announced last month at Mobile World Congress and will be available by the end of this year in most regions.

On today press announcement, Sony Ericsson has announced the W995 Hikaru slider phone and a 12 megapixel camera phone called Sony Ericsson Idou. The Idou will be marketed as Entertainment Unlimited, which will develier a complete music / video / camera solutions to high end market. The Sony Ericsson Idou will be available at second half of 2009.

Along with the new C903 and W395, Sony Ericsson has unveiled its new 3G C901 Cyber-shot 5 megapixel camera phone. Compare to C903 cybershot, the C901 is a candybar design with a 13mm thickness. Its 5 megapixel camera is also enhanced by a Xenon flash, auto focusing and supports smile shutter, face detection, photo geo-tagging and bestpic.

The Sony Ericsson C901 can be used with GSM Quadband network, other features include a memory card slot, 2.2-inch TFT display screen, FM Radio, Bluetooth and built-in accelerometer sensor. It will be available in Q2 this year with 3 color options: Noble Black, Sincere Silver and Precious Peach.

Sony Ericsson has just released the info of the new C903 Cyber-shot Phone. The new cybershot comes with built in A-GPS, 5 megapixel camera and has dedicatd camera keys for photo taking. Packed full of features the C903 Cyber-shot will give you the best picture possible with Face Detection, finding up to three people in the frame at a time and Smile Shutter which automatically picks out beaming smiles.

The Sony Ericsson is built in a slider form factor, has a 2.4-inch display screen and support TV-Out connection. It supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS/HSPA 900/2100. C903 Cyber-shot will be available in selected markets from Q2 in the colours Lacquer Black, Techno White and Glamour Red.

When will we finally see a camera with attached GSM module? Here is a comparison photo between the Sony T-Series camera and the upcoming Sony Ericsson C903. Rumor: Sony Ericsson C901 is Not Alone, C903 Coming Along Next Month

More cybershot phones from Sony Ericsson? Rumor from the SEMC Blog indicates a second cyber-shot phone, Sony Ericsson C903 will be announced next month at Mobile World Congress together with the C901. While the C901 is a candy bar design, the C903 is a slider phone and comes with built in aGPS. Unlike the C905 8 megapixel camera phone, the C903 will not include a built in WiFi but will have a lower price compare to C905. It is expected to be announced next month and available by end of Q2 this year.
