CSR gave the world's first public demonstration of Bluetooth low energy technology provided by CSR's BlueCore7 in a mobile phone handset. CSR today announced the launch of its seventh generation BlueCore silicon. BlueCore7 is the world's first device integrating Bluetooth v2.1+EDR, Bluetooth low energy, eGPS (enhanced Global Positioning System), and FM transmit and receive technologies on a single chip.

CSR today gave the first public demonstration of its Ultra Low Power (ULP) Bluetooth silicon at the Continua Health Alliance medical conference in Luxembourg. CSR's ULP Bluetooth silicon consumes 10 times less power than standard Bluetooth when connectable according to the company.
