Sony Ericsson Unveils Jalou Fashion Phone

Not the Sony Ericsson Jalou we heard recently with full touch screen, Sony Ericsson has indeed got a new model called Sony Ericsson Jalou but designed in fashion with clamshell. It is also the first Sony Ericsson to feature Walk Mate step counter and has an exclusive fashion interface which automatically updates with zodiac signs and special events throughout the year. Jalou will be available in a variety of gem inspired colours including: Deep Amethyst, Aquamarine Blue and Onyx Black.

“Structured forms, intricate corners, hidden depths and jewel accents are set to be some of the hottest fashion trends in 2010. You can also expect to see deep and natural jewel colours on the runway next year. Rumor: Samsung Alias2 with Dynamic Keyboard

More than 2 years after the first Samsung Alias was introduced, Verizon Wireless and Samsung are preparing to launch its successor called Samsung Alias2. The most unique part of the clamshell phone is not its dual hinge design, but the dynamic keys which will change depends on the conditions

Depends on you are opening the clamshell in landscape or portrait mode, the keys on the phone will change to either QWERTY keyboard or the traditional numeric keys. It is unclear that if the keys are customizable by users manually.

The Samsung Alias2 also has a camera on top of the external LCD screen. You can access to the music player from the external LCD directly without opening the clamshell.

Sony Ericsson Announces new T707 ClamShell

Sony Ericsson today announced its latest mobile phone, the T707, with a partnership with tennis star Maria Sharapova. The T707 lights up when you receive a call and you can personalise the light settings to each of your friends, so you always know who wants you. If you are too busy to answer, simply end the call with a wave of your hand over the screen. It also has a 3.2 megapixel camera, bluetooth, FM Radio receiver and 2.2-inch display screen. The Sony Ericsson T707 was just leaked as T707 Elle early this month on a china’s presentation.

“The T707 is the next step in the style evolution from Sony Ericsson,” said Linda Schori, Global Marketing Business Manager for Style Category, Sony Ericsson. “Maria Sharapova is the perfect partner for us as she exemplifies not only elegance but also substance, just like the T707. It works hard and is also sleek, glamorous and desirable – a truly winning combination!”

The T707 supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 UMTS/HSDPA 2100. The T707a supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900/2100. It will be available in selected markets from Q2 in the colours Mysterious Black, Spring Rose and Lucid Blue.

LG Lollipop for Youth Available in Korea

Tagged with a codename ‘1723′, LG has introduced its new LG Lollipop clamshell phone in Korea. Featuring a nice external LED display, the company is promoting this model specially for Korean between 17 to 23 years old. Also known as LG-SV800, KH8000 or LH8000, there are a total of 220 LEDs outside for users to form different animations for fun. Up to 22 LED patterns are available by default, users can create their own pattern using the pre-installed application.

Other features include a 2.8-inch WQVGA internal LCD, 3 megapixel camera, 1.3 megapixel secondary camera, microSD card slot and motion sensor.

Rumor: New Sony Ericsson W518a is W508 with aGPS?

According to a device profile xml file on Sony Ericsson website, the company is planning to add a built in aGPS chipset for the W508 clamshell phone. The upgraded model will be called W518a with a similar design as W508. The W508 has already equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera, HSDPA and memory card slot.

Is the Sony Ericsson T707 Elle still on track for release or cancelled? According to a presentation in China, the T707 is a clamshell phone that supports Quadband GSM network, HSPA 3G connection and has a 2.2-inch TFT display screen. However, looking at the expected release date on the first line, it is actually stating May 2008. The Sony Ericsson T707 is the sibling of the W707, which should be cancelled in year 2008. This look like an outdated presentation photo.
