Samsung Galaxy S II is undoubtedly one of best achievement Samsung has ever made. The device managed to hit 3million sale worldwide in the first 55 days of availability. Strange enough, with such as record, there’s no news on the device hitting U.S anytime soon.

The main reason the Galaxy S II has not hit United States was because carriers like Verizon do not seems to agree with us on the term of Samsung’s CDMA expertise. They think Samsung still lack in many ways and they prefer something that Motorola made. According to the article that was post Chosun Libo stated Motorola is “makes phones that work best with the American mobile protocol CDMA. That means US telecoms have a better alternative.”

Looking back in 2010, Samsung Galaxy S was a hit in U.S for awhile. Carriers should have not hesitated to pick up the next generation of Galaxy S compared to HTC or Motorola’s devices. Samsung has not made an official announcement regarding this matter.

As most of us might have heard, a rumor going around about the iPhone 5 release date will be on September this year. And now, according to Fran Shammo, Verizon CFO, the next generation of Apple handset will acquire ‘global service’.

Fran clearly stated as the following:

The fluctuation, I believe, will come when a new device from Apple is launched, whenever that may be, and that we will be, on the first time, on equal footing with our competitors on a new phone hitting the market, which will also be a global device.

This is quite interesting. Another rumor also saying that the next generation of iPhone might get a dual-mode GSM / CDMA. What kind of device will the iPhone 5 be?
