Sennheiser has announced its new PXC 310 headphone, which is available from August this month with wired and bluetooth version. The headphone used the company’s patented NoiseGard 2.0 technology, reducing the background of noise of trains or planes by up to 90 percent.

“The new apt-X codec provides Bluetooth transmission with minimum delay and excellent audio quality,” explained Maurice Quarré, Head of Product Management Consumer Electronics at Sennheiser. “Music and speech are reproduced in outstanding quality, while still allowing you complete freedom of movement.”

The convenient TalkThrough function makes it possible to hold a conversation without removing the headphones. At the push of a button, miniature microphones on the headphones pick up the surrounding noise while an electronic circuit filters out the sounds of voices, allowing you to hear them.

On the PXC 310 BT model, the control unit integrated into the earpiece can also be used to activate Bluetooth transmission and to select individual songs. After use, the headphones can simply be folded together and stored in the carrying case included. And the headphones also come with other special features to guarantee relaxed travelling, such as a battery charger with adapters for a wide range of countries.

Both the PXC 310 and PXC 310 BT will be available from August.

Nokia today launched the Nokia Bluetooth Stereo Headset BH-905, comes with active noise cancellation that provides crystal clear sound by eliminating background noise with novel active noise cancellation technology from Wolfson Microelectronics. This multi-microphone feed-forward active noise cancellation technology allows for pure sound without ambient noise and is now introduced for the first time in the Nokia Bluetooth Stereo Headset BH-905.

Technically the noise cancellation is solved with a total of 10 microphones: 8 microphones for cancelling noise and 2 microphones for capturing speech in loud surroundings offering advanced noise cancellation for clear sounding phone calls. The headset features a dedicated multifunction key for call management, as well as music and volume controls, and a switch for activating the active noise cancellation.

It is compatible with a wide variety of devices. Wirelessly with any device supporting wireless Bluetooth technology, and with wired connection with all Nokia devices with 3.5 mm Nokia AV and 2.5 mm Nokia AV, music players, PCs and other devices with standard 3.5mm jack, home stereos with standard 6.3 mm jack as well as airplane players.

The headset will be available globally starting August, 2009. The estimated retail price before taxes and subsidies is around EUR 285.
