AT&T Quickfire Released Today, $99 with 2 Yrs Contract

AT&T today announced the availability of the AT&T Quickfire, developed for AT&T by Personal Communications Devices LLC (PCD). The AT&T Quickfire, which comes in orange, lime and silver, is available through AT&T retail locations for $99.99 after a two-year agreement and mail-in rebate.

A slider boasting an interactive touch screen, 1.3 megapixel camera and full QWERTY keypad, the AT&T Quickfire is a 3G world phone that can read messages in portrait or landscape mode. Quickfire also features AT&T Navigator, which provides turn-by-turn directions and is available with a 30-day free trial.

“The AT&T Quickfire is perfect for texting fans who let their thumbs do the talking and want the benefit of a full keypad but don’t need corporate e-mail access or other business features,” said Mark Collins, vice president of Voice and Data Services for AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets.

SlashGear has got the AT&T Quickfire and posted their first impression on the QWERTY messaging phone. “The resistive touchscreen seems responsive, with large – if a little bland – icons; it’s larger than that of the Sidekick, by 0.2-inches, but lower resolution at 320 x 240 versus 400 x 240. With a possible availability date of November 11th, here is a few AT&T Quickfire live photos. According to previous leaked info, the AT&T Quickfire (GTX75) will be sold in Silver, Lime Green and Orange colors for $299.99 without service contract or $99.99 with 2 years service contract. The Quickfire has a sidekick like design, comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera, microSD card slot, QWERTY keyboard and full touch screen.

The AT&T Quickfire messaging phone has set to be launched on November 10th, according to a leaked AT&T internal equipment info sheet. When available, the AT&T Quickfire (GTX75) will be sold in Silver, Lime Green and Orange colors for $299.99 without service contract or $99.99 with 2 years service contract.

A slider boasting a touch screen in addition to the full keypad, the AT&T Quickfire can read messages in portrait or landscape mode and also download music over the nation’s fastest 3G network with Napster Mobile and eMusic Mobile. Other features include a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen, 1.3 megapixel camera and microSD card slot.
