About one week after the iPhone 3GS went on sale, the iPhone dev team has announced that they have found the 24Kpwn exploit on the new iPhone 3GS, which was also found on the older iPod Touch 2G. Using a similar technique, the team is developing a jailbreak and an unlock tool for the new iPhone generation.

Just released from the iPhone dev team, users who have upgraded their iPhone 3G with iPhone 3.0 OS can now be unlocked with the latest Ultrasn0w tool. The Ultrasn0w is used together with redsn0w or PwnageTool, which will jailbreak your iPhone 3G first before you proceed with the unlocking.

Apple today announced that it has sold over one million iPhone 3GS models through Sunday, June 21, the third day after its launch. In addition, six million customers have downloaded the new iPhone 3.0 software in the first five days since its release.

O2 today announced that the new iPhone 3G S handset will go on general sale from 8.02am on Friday 19 June in O2, Apple and Carphone Warehouse retail stores. For those users in US who have ordered the iPhone 3G S, you might get the iPhone 3G S shipment earliest by tomorrow (June-17th) according to someone who notified engadgetmobile on his tracking detail. AT&T has start to accept pre-orders last week, and has planned to start selling the iPhone 3G S in its retail stores from June 19th.

At the WWDC 2009 event, the cpu specs for the iPhone 3G S was not revealed in detail although it is said to have a improved speed compare to iPhone 3G. T-Mobile Netherlands has accidentally put up the CPU info on its website, stating a 600MHz processor with 256MB RAM.
