Apple today announced that more than two billion apps have been downloaded from its App Store, that's 500 millions more since July. There are now more than 85,000 apps available, with over 125,000 developers in Apple’s iPhone Developer Program.

Navigon today announced a new live traffic capabilities for its iPhone navigation app. The Traffic Live will be available in October for the North American version of the MobileNavigator for the iPhone. It utilizes real-time traffic information as well as historic data to calculate better routes that avoid congestion and get drivers to their destination faster.
