HTC Runnymede First Press Shot Leaked

Featuring a huge 4.7-inch display, the HTC Runnymede is leaked with a picture now in white theme. Runnymede is the code name, the Android smartphone is rumored to have a 1.5GHz single core CPU, 768MB RAM, 8 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 3.0 and WVGA resolution. It also features Beats Audio and might be offered with a Beats Audio headphone.

As for the internal storage space, there will be 2 options available according to the source. The 16GB model will be priced at 530 pounds and another 32GB option will be available for 560 pounds.

Official details should be available soon. HTC might officially introduced the HTC Runnymede on September 20th, a HTC press event held in NYC.

New Launch Date for HTC Thunderbolt with Best Buy

After a few rumors for an actual HTC Thunderbolt release date, it looks like you will be able to purchase the smartphone from Best Buy on March 10th next month. The smartphone has been rumored to be launched on February 24th initially. It is later said to be delayed to February 28th and again pushed to March.

HTC Thunderbolt was announced early this year during CES 2011, it will cost you $249.99 with a new two-year agreement or $749.99 without any contract with Verizon.

Verizon Droid Incredible Turns into Incredible S for GSM

HTC today has announced the new Incredible S, featuring contoured body that highlights the internal hardware components of the phone. It was actually the Droid Incredible, launched for Verizon Wireless CDMA network in 2010. Although it will be available in Q2 later, the company is shipping the Android smartphone with the old Android 2.2 Froyo and providing a Gingerbread upgrade after.

Similar to the newly announced Desire S, the Incredible S is built with 1.1GB internal phone storage plus an additional microSD card slot to provide sufficient space for software installation. This high end smartphone also comes with 8 megapixel camera, dual flash LED, 1.1 megapixel front camera, 3.5mm headphone jack and a 4-inch WVGA touch screen.

HTC Launches Wildfire S Entry Level Smartphone

Using a 3.2-inch full touch screen, HTC Wildfire S is the successor of the HTC Wildfire launched last year. The new Wildfire S has an upgrade screen resolution from QVGA to HVGA, comes in 10.13cm long and 5.94cm wide to keep in a compact size.

Same as the Desire S, the optical track pad has been removed as well. Other specs include a 600MHz CPU, 5 megapixel camera, 512MB RAM/ROM, WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0. It will be available Q2 this year in 3 colors.

HTC Desire Renewed with Desire S

HTC today has announced an updated model to its 2010 HTC Desire. The new Desire S is now built in unibody style, use touch sensitive buttons below the 3.7-inch touch screen instead of the original hardware buttons. There is no optical track pad too at the bottom of Desire S but you will get the additional front camera for video calls.

HTC did not upgrade the CPU though. The new HTC Desire S will use the original 1GHz Qualcomm processor, making it less attractive for current HTC Desire users. Perhaps, the best improvement is the internal phone storage. With the new 1.1GB size and the microSD card slot, you will never have to worry the storage space for the Android apps.

According to HTC, it will start shipping the Desire S in Q2 this year with the new Android 2.4 Gingerbread. Full specifications below.

T-Mobile to Start Offering Galaxy S 4G from February 23

Announced early this month, the Samsung Galaxy S 4G will be available from February 23 this month. As what you can see from its name, the Android smartphone has the same design as the original Samsung Galaxy S. It supports the additional 4G wireless data connection, up to HSPA+ 21 Mbps can be archived theoretically. T-Mobile will offer the device for $149.99 with a 2 years service contract.

Sony Ericsson Officially Unveiled Xperia Pro at MWC 2011

Sony Ericsson is adding another device to their Xperia family. The Xperia Pro compliment with slide-out keyboard along with smart functions to make texting much more faster, accurate, and easier. Not only that, the device also have a “subtle but fast” Type & Send functionality which allows you to read all your messages from different special apps in one receiver.

Acer Introducing Iconia Smart

Here comes another over sized screen smartphone other than Dell’s Streak 5. Acer is introducing their 4.8-inch display phone called Acer Iconia Smart. The device has a long physical form and slender. It powered with Qualcomm’s 1GHz Snapdragon and Android 2.3.

The Iconia Smart have two camera which an 8-megapixel camera on the front and a 2-megapixel camera on the back. There’s also HSDPA, WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1+ED. The device will be available in UK on May 1st, 2011. Pricing yet to be announce.
