Rogers Offered Dell Streak For $149

Rogers is offering the Dell Streak for $149.99 with a three-year contract. You can also purchase the device via Dell for $599.99. Compared to Dell, Rogers offers much better pricing. It comes with Android 1.6, but it appears the official Froyo upgrade will be coming soon.

The device features a 5″ WVGA touchscreen, a 5 megapixel camera on the back with front-facing camera for video conferencing, Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS, 2 GB of on-board storage with 512 MB of RAM and a 1 GHz processor. You can order the Dell Streak here.

Dell Streak Heads To Canadian Carrier, Roger Early November

Some of us has managed to enjoy the Dell Streak while others still waiting and wondering when its their turns. Dell Streak first debut was in US via AT&T as it carrier. But today, there’s leaked mention the arrival of the device to Roger. This indicates Dell Streak arrival to Canadian carrier.

The device has Capacitive 5-inch display with multi-touch, Gorilla Glass, 5 MP camera with Duel LED flash and a front VGA camera, a Qualcomm 1 GHz Snapdragon, and Android 1.6 Donut. We are expecting its arrival to Canada late October or early November. No information about the pricing.

While most Xperia X10 are disappointed with the Android 2.1 upgrade delay recently, Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 are available in several countries now and will be shipped to more regions this month. The Xperia X8 is also running with the Android 1.6. It should also be upgraded to Android 2.1 depends on the company development speed. Check out the official promo video below.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 Introduced by FCC

Sony Ericsson is finally unveiling the Xperia X8 in June during the FCC certification. However, they will be launching the device in normal time frame. It seems the Xperia X8 will be ready on the third quarter of this year. We hope Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 would be as successful as the Xperia X10.

It features a 3-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 320×480, 128MB of RAM, a 600MHz processor, 3.5mm headphone jack, a 3.2MP camera, WiFI, a-GPS, and Bluetooth. The bad news about this device will be that it runs with Android 1.6. There are no words regarding the fact of which carrier will be launching the Xperia X8.

ROGERS LG LOOP Launched For $30 CAD

The LG GT540 aka the LG Loop is now available in Canada. Rogers will be the main carrier for the device. The first time the LG Loop appears was at the CES 2010. Since the device is surrounded by many other high-tech devices, there is not much to be shown off. However, it’s still an LG manufacturer Android handset which gives the device better chance to survive in market.

The LG Loop features a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480×320, a 3MP camera, Android 1.6, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 2GB microSD card (could expend to 32GB), WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth. The device will cost $30CAD with a new three years contract, $200CAD with a two years contract, and $300CAD without a contract.

Cricket Launched Kyocera Zio For $249.99

Cricket might not be as well-known as Verizon nor AT&T but they also can bring the android handset to their company. The Zio has been a talk for a few months and the Cricket customer has patiently waited for it. But today, Cricket officially launched the Zio for $249.99.

The Zio features a 3.5-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display, 3G connectivity, Bluetooth, GPS, integrated WiFi, a 3.2MP camera on the back, with the ability to record video, a microSD card slot, and Android 1.6. For the third times the handset will be $249.99 but if you buy it online there will be 20% for you.

Cricket’s Sanyo ZIO Now Available For Preorder

A couple weeks ago, Sanyo ZIO was announced going to Cricket. And today, the ZIO is available for preorder. The handset will cost you $249.99 and if you order it online, there will be 20% off which sets you on $229.99. The ZIO requires a data plan that cost $55 per month with unlimited voice, text, and data.

Quick reminder, the device features a 3.5-inch touchscreen, 600 MHz processor, 3.2 megapixel camera, and Android 1.6. Fortunately, the Cricket doesn’t requires or use contract or subsidies which mean the ZIO is contract free. Overall, this is a perfect deal. A smartphone that runs Android and decent price without contract.

EISA Awarded Xperia X10 Mini as European Mobile Phone 2010-2011

Available in many countries now, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini has been awarded “European Mobile Phone 2010-2011” by the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA).

The official award citation from the EISA jury reads: “Xperia X10 mini from Sony Ericsson is a very small and stylish mobile phone. Nonetheless, it delivers excellent performance with a comprehensive range of features such as GPS, Wi-Fi, 3G and a 5 megapixel camera with flash. The phone runs on the Android platform and offers users the full benefits of a much larger device although its touch screen size is just 2.55-inch (6.48 cm). Its small size and weight and variety of vivid case colours make it perfect for introducing the fairer sex to smartphone technology.”

The X10 mini is launched with Android 1.6, a real outdated version although you will eventually get Android 2.1 software upgrade this year.

Dell Streak Is Now Available On Your AT&T Stores

Today, AT&T Dell Streak is on sale. The Android smartphone/tablet hybrid is priced at $299.99 with a new two years contract and $549.99 without contract and SIM-free. While your at it, there are some accessories to compliment your Dell Streak such as the Car Dock for $39.99 and Home AV Dock (includes HDMI output) for $69.99.

The handset features a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, WVGA display, 3G/UMTS, WiFi, and Bluetooth. Also, a 5-megapixel camera, a front-facing webcam and GPS. Unfortunately, Dell Streak will runs with Android 1.6 and Android 2.1 won’t be available until later in the year.

Sony Ericsson is introducing already-launched devices with multiple colors to choose from. This time we are talking about Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini and Mini Pro. Originally, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini appears in black, pearl white, lime, red, pink, silver while Xperia X10 Mini Pro appears in black, pearl white, and red. Adding as the seventh colors, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini is now available in Gold color.

The Gold Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini is eye catching and attractive. It seems glamorous and extravagant. On the other hand, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro maintain a complete different look with a pink color. It looks sassy and girlish.

The two new colors will be available soon but there are no confirmation on the exact date. On the downside, two devices is still running on Android 1.6 but an update Android 2.1 is coming soon.
