Samsung Mobile Introduces Samsung Freeform with Alltel Wireless

Samsung today announced the availability of the Samsung Freeform (SCH-r351). The Samsung Freeform boasts a large 2.2 inch QCIF color display that makes pictures pop for a better viewing experience and is available in two color options, teal and red wine. The four-row QWERTY keyboard and multiple messaging options feature threaded text entry, which lets users send text messages instantly. Freeform users can access their favorite applications by clicking on customizable navigation keys.

The Freeform allows users to play individual music files or create full playlists, replicating a standalone MP3 player experience.

Alltel Wireless Launches the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 Smartphone

Alltel Wireless announced today that the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 smartphone from Research In Motion (RIM) will be available in retail stores and online at alltel.com beginning in early May. The clamshell design of the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 smartphone allows users to discreetly screen calls and preview messages on the high-resolution external display or utilize the large internal display to respond to calls or messages, view maps and web pages, and play games.

Featuring a large SureType QWERTY keyboard, an intuitive user interface with trackball navigation, built-in GPS with BlackBerry Maps preloaded and support for locations based applications and services, and a 2 MP camera able to record video, the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 smartphone is packed with powerful features, yet sleek enough to slip easily into a purse or pocket. It also features full HTML browsing, a rich media player with the ability to sync music from iTunes or Windows Media Player, an expandable memory card slot (microSD/SDHC up to 16GB) and stereo Bluetooth support.

Alltel Wireless expands “My Circle” calling feature to include five additional numbers

Starting tomorrow, Alltel is adding five more numbers for unlimited calling, for customers on “My Circle 10″ and “My Circle 20″ calling plans. The five additional numbers will be automatically available to existing “My Circle” customers on eligible plans.

With the addition of five numbers to “My Circle,” Alltel customers in these 91 CMAs in 22 states will now have unlimited calling to more of the people that matter most to them. “My Circle 15” starts at $59.99 per month and includes 900 anytime minutes, and “My Circle 25” starts at $99.99 per month and includes 2,100 anytime minutes.

Alltel Wireless today launches the LG Banter, featuring a full sliding QWERTY keyboard for fast and easy texting and a chat-style messaging interface. The messaging phone is preloaded with Alltel Email, Yahoo! IM and AOL IM and comes with changeable faceplates, allowing customers to express themselves with blue or silver color plates. Samsung partners with Alltel for free Mission Impossible Trilogy SD card

Samsung and Paramount Digital Entertainment announced the availability of a 2G microSD card pre-loaded with the Mission Impossible Trilogy with the purchase of a Samsung Delve from Alltel Wireless. This is the first time that Samsung Mobile and Paramount Digital Entertainment have worked together to bundle full-length feature films to add promotional value to its mobile products, without creating a price impact on its carrier partners or consumers.

“We are excited to bring an action-packed movie series like the Mission Impossible Trilogy to people who buy the Samsung Delve,” said Bill Ogle, Chief Marketing Officer for Samsung Mobile. “When you combine this incredible content with the Delve’s full set of powerful features, it’s easy to stay entertained and connected no matter where you are.”

The microSD card is available with the purchase of the Delve from February 20 through April 16, from participating Alltel Wireless retail stores and authorized dealers.

Motorola Brings Motorola Hint QA30 to Alltel Wireless

Alltel Wireless and Motorola have introduced the Motorola Hint, a vertical slider phone that keeps users in touch. It will be available on November 28th in Alltel retail stores and at alltel.com. The slider design of the Motorola Hint includes a full QWERTY keyboard with dedicated keys for the 2 MP camera, MP3 player and Web access. The Motorola Hint puts the most frequently used features on the main screen giving easy access to e-mail, voicemail and messaging. Even with a large 2.5″ display screen, the compact 4.23 oz handset can easily slip into a pocket or purse. The phone also features high speed EVDO internet compatibility and a microSD removable memory slot that can hold up to 8 GB – perfect for fast song downloads and file storage.

Alltel Wireless and LG today introduced the LG Swift, a clamshell phone that comes with Fastap Press-to-Experience keys. The Fastap Keypad provides “swift and simple” one-touch discovery, access and use of phone features, services and applications such as Alltel Navigation, Alltel Shop, Email, Alarm Clock and Image Library.

The LG Swift also features external music buttons to conveniently play and manage music. A dual speaker system with stereo sound can be enjoyed using background music mode or using the Bluetooth headset. Alltel Wireless announced today that the Samsung Delve will be available for pre-sale at alltel.com on October 30. The touchscreen phone, highlighted by a virtual QWERTY keyboard and tactile feedback, has been designed with Samsung’s unique TouchWiz interface. The TouchWiz interface incorporates specially designed widgets that allow the user to customize and personalize their phone. Users can ‘drag and drop’ widgets onto the main screen, which offers users instant access to their favorite functions. The widgets allow users to customize the main display screen to match the icons of the applications and features they use the most.

Music lovers will appreciate the Samsung Delve’s MP3 player, and the 2.0 megapixel camera with video capabilities will add value for fans of multimedia content.
