The device packed with a 4.3-inch HD display, on the back there’s a Dolby speaker plate, and a “Sleeve DNA design” which will “enhance the handheld experience.” Also, it features AcerCloud tech to share content like music and photos between your computers and mobile devices. According to Pocket-lint, the Acer CloudMobile android smartphone will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. As for availability, the handset to be launched on Q3 2012.

Acer Flagship Smartphone Wins iF Product Design Award

TAIPEI, TAIWAN (February 10, 2012) – The Acer CloudMobileTM smartphone has just received the iF design award 2012, in recognition of outstanding achievement in design.

Acer CloudMobileTM is the first smartphone to offer AcerCloud technology, which securely connects personal content from Cloud PCs through CloudMobileTM anytime, anywhere. Users can push thousands of photos to and from CloudMobileTM and listen to their entire music collection whether at home or on the go.

AcerCloud also enhances mobile productivity by providing seamless document management. Users can access and browse all recent files from CloudMobileTM and print wirelessly with Acer Print.

Designed to showcase Acer’s most advanced technology, Acer CloudMobileTM is ultra-slim with a depth of less than one centimeter. Its Sleeve DNA design has soft, wrapping contours which enhance the handheld experience.

The stainless steel receiver on the front, and the Dolby speaker plate on the back, have tiny perforation that exude style and high-quality craftsmanship. Tactile details on the volume button and rear side of the phone further enhance the exquisite look and feel. A narrow bezel slims Acer CloudMobileTM down, while still providing room for a 4.3-inch fully laminated HD display.

Organized by the International Forum Design of Germany, the iF awards have been held since 1953 and are regarded as an indicator of outstanding quality in design.

An international panel of experts judged on numerous criteria including design workmanship, choice of material, environmental compatibility and functionality. According to iF, participation in the iF design awards demonstrates the will to innovate and the courage to be compared next to others in competition.

Acer smartphone design has been awarded for its innovation the last two years in a row (Iconia Smart S300, 2011 Computex Design & Innovation).

The Acer CloudMobileTM smartphone will be unveiled at the end of February 2012 at the Mobile World Congress exhibition in Barcelona, Spain, and will be available in Q3, 2012.

The Allegro has a 3.6-inch WVGA (800 x 480) display, 1GHz single-core Qualcomm MSM8255 CPU, 8GB internal storage, 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 1,300mAh battery. It comes with white and dark blue iceberg colors. The Allergo coming to France in mid-November.

The Liquid Mini was first released in April in the UK and soon after, the device spotted at the FCC. The device was supposedly heading to AT&T. Now, it appears that the handset is coming in the blazing and glossy red color featuring Ferrari. Of course its a limited edition. It would features an Android 2.3 Gingerbread phone with a 3.2″ display, 800 Mhz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, 512MB of RAM, 5MP camera on the rear and 8GB of internal storage.

The handset features a very long 4.8-inch 21:9 aspect ration display. Although it has a long display, it is very thin and quite responsive. It also have HSDPA, Wi-Fi b/g/n, and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR. The device will cost you 499 Euro.

There’s also Fujitsu’s Windows Phone handset. It has a bright pink color and packed with water resistance capability. Follow by ZTE’s creation on WP. However, out of all the devices that been shown, audience still in amaze with Samsung’s WP handset, the Galaxy S II. Sadly, there’s no further information on those devices. The device has 4.8-inch touchscreen. Although Gianfranco did mention that Acer is mainly focused on developing Android but they are also busy working on Windows Phone 7. Since Acer is planning to launch in fall, their WP7 handset will obtained “Mango”, the newest update for the platform. Seems, Acer and Nokia will be head to head.

The Iconia Smart have two camera which an 8-megapixel camera on the front and a 2-megapixel camera on the back. There’s also HSDPA, WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1+ED. The device will be available in UK on May 1st, 2011. Pricing yet to be announce.
