More info and photo for an unannounced model, Sony Ericsson Kurara, are now leaked on phonesdb.com. The Kurara is only of the Satio/Aino “Entertainment Unlimited” family, built with full touch screen and Symbian S60 OS. It comes with a 3.5-inch AMOLED touch screen, 8.1 megpaixel camera and hardware buttons below the touch screen. The camera module comes without Xenon flash but has a flash LED and able to shot HD 720p video.

Rumor: Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 Could Come Jan-2010

With the unannounced Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 leaked in July, Sony Ericsson has yet to confirmed this Android smartphone officially. According to mobilecrunch, its unnamed source is telling them that the company will make the X3 ready by January 2010, about the same time as Xperia X2 running windows mobile OS.

The Xperia X3 is also called Racheal, it could be powered by a fast 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, comes with a 8 megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS and 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Sony Ericsson has already said in May that it is putting more focus on Android platform, and it will be running with its unique user interface design on top of the Android OS.

Xperia X2 Available Early Q4 with Windows Mobile 6.5

Sony Ericsson announces the Xperia X2, powered by the new Windows Mobile 6.5 in a similar design but improved hardware specs compare to Xperia X1. The Xperia X2 also includes the unique SlideView feature, which provides quick access to frequently used phone activities. SlideView gives an overview of missed incoming activity, notifying the user of any missed calls, e-mails and text messages so users don’t overlook an important contact.

With 14 specially designed preloaded Xperia panels and 16 more to download, you can quickly switch to panels like Skype, Mytopia, Google, CNN and Windows Live. Although the new X2 will only be upgraded to a 3.2-inch full touch screen, the new Windows Phone now comes with a 8.1 megapixel camera and flash LED.

Nokia N86 Coming to US

The 8 megapixel camera phone, Nokia N86, is confirmed to be sold in US soon according to Nokia. With a 2.6-inch AMOLED screen, the Nokia N86 8MP is preloaded with Ovi services including Ovi Maps, N-Gage and Ovi Files. The Nokia N86 8MP will be available for $558.00 through Nokia Flagship Stores in the coming weeks.

Video: Sony Ericsson Custom UI for Android Smartphone

Just like what HTC is doing, Sony Ericsson is creating their own user interface on top of the Android OS, which is rumored to be used on the company first Android smartphone called Rachael. The leaked video is certainly not showing the final version. It consists of different tabs at the bottom of the touch screen and integrates well with social networks like facebook and twitter. Is this the first Android phone from Sony Ericsson? mobile.nu said they have got images from some internal documents and the first Sony Ericsson Android smartphone will carry Xperia branding with a codename called Rachael. As what we reported in May, Sony Ericsson was saying that they are putting more company resources into Android smartphone development. When it is ready, it would most likely featuring the same approach as HTC, which will come with its custom UI on top of the Android OS.

Rachael is rumored to be powered by a fast 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, comes with a 8 megapixel camera and 3.5 mm headphone jack. There will be 3 hardware keys below the display touchscreen and it comes without a hardware QWERTY keyboard.

Nokia N86 Start Shipping

Announced in Feb this year, Nokia has announced that its Nokia N86 is now shipping globally with an estimated retail price of EUR 375 (around 475 USD), before taxes and subsidies. The Nokia N86 has a wide-angle Carl Zeiss optics, able to produce up to 8 megapixel photo. The device also offers a 2.6-inch QVGA OLED screen with scratch resistant hardened glass, A-GPS, 3.5 mm headphone jack, FM Radio receiver, easy photo management, full sync capability with a PC and TV-out support for slide shows.

Rumor: Next Samsung Omnia Called Samsung i8000?

With the previous Samsung i8910 Omnia HD running Symbian OS, the original Samsung Omnia is said to have a successor called Samsung i8000 or Samsung Omnia2. The new Samsung i8000 does have impressive features. It gets a 8.1 megapixel camera, dual flash LED, 30fps VGA video recording, 3.7-inch AMOLED touch screen and WVGA screen resolution. The user interface will not get a fresh design. It will still come with the TouchWiz UI, with probably more widgets at the sidebar.

The source at mobil.it mentioned that the AMOLED touch screen will support 16 million colors, though it is known that Windows Mobile can only do 65k colors? The next Samsung press event is coming up on June 15th, that should be the possible official announcement date for this i8000.

With the Sony Ericsson Satio coming in Q4, Sony Ericsson will be also shipping its second full touch screen phone called Aino at the same schedule. The Sony Ericsson Aino supports Remote Play with playstation 3, enables remote control and access to your media content on playstation 3 from your phone. For TV lovers in Italy, France, Spain, Germany and in the UK users can also enjoy the PlayTV service on playstation 3 via the Aino. Watch, pause and record live TV from a huge range of free channels via Aino on the go.

LG Viewty Smart Shipping This Month, to Announce 12 Megapixel Camera Phone This Year

LG today has confirmed that it will start shipping its next 8 megapixel camera phone, the LG Viewty Smart (LG GC900) in Europe this month. Featuring a sensitivity up to ISO 1600, the new camera phone integrates an Intelligent Shot Mode that will automatically analyzing scenes and adjusting camera settings accordingly. The camera phone is assisted by a LED flash and featuring Multi-Face Detection, Touch Shot, Art Shot, Beauty Shot, Panorama Shot and Continuous Shot. According to the company, it has already sold 7 million units of the first LG Viewty, which was launched in November 2007. LG has also announced plans for a 12 megapixel camera phone with even more smart features, planned for launch later this year.
