T-Mobile, Google and HTC re-team to deliver the groundbreaking successor to the T-Mobile G1; Exclusive preorder for current T-Mobile customers begins later this month

BELLEVUE, Wash. – Sept. 9, 2010 – T-Mobile USA, Inc. today unveiled the T-Mobile® G2™ with Google™, delivering downloads at 4G speeds1, a blazing fast web browsing experience and tight integration with Google services. The G2 breaks new ground as the first smartphone specifically designed for T-Mobile’s new HSPA+ network2, which covers 100 million Americans in more than 55 major metropolitan areas across the country. The G2 is an ultra-powerful smartphone designed by HTC and is the highly anticipated successor to the T-Mobile G1, the world’s first Android™-powered mobile phone, pairing a large 3.7-inch screen with a unique hinge design that opens to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., a leading mobile phone provider, today announced the commercial availability of the Samsung Wave (Model: S8500) in European countries, including Germany, France and the UK. Unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2010, the Wave is the first smartphone based on Samsung’s new, open smartphone platform, bada, and is the cornerstone of the company’s commitment to ‘smartphone democratization.’

With the launch of the Wave, Samsung is actively constructing a total eco-system around bada platform including Samsung Apps. Samsung Apps will be available in 80 countries when the Wave launches, and will increase the premium content and applications pool through collaboration with partner companies and developers.

The availability of the Samsung bada SDK (Software Development Kit) will ensure that consumers can experience a steady stream of new applications that support bada platfrom. bada Platform – the Smart Choice

Developers can write applications with the bada SDK (Software Development Kit). The company said that is has improved the power management to help achieve longer battery autonomy for intense users. It will also develope its own user interface instead of the usual Android UI for easy access to entertainment and web bookmarks, smart integration with Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and Youtube in the address book. An exclusive Spinlets application will be preinstalled for free streaming of worldwide music and video, that can be shared with friends and family through web-posting or e-mail.

According to Chris, the HTC HD2 will first available in UK and Europe this month. It will be launched slowly through out the whole Asia by the end of the year. Good news is that the HTC HD2 will also be available for US users, which will be available around Q1 2010.
