Already shipping in Europe, the HTC HD2 is available around the middle of November with Taiwan Mobile and will be available throughout Asia in the coming month. The HD2 will be available with a major carrier in the US in early 2010.

Not much of the phone detail is available at the moment. We can watch a leaked video on youtube below, which reveal a 5 megapixel camera module at its back with LED flash and support of auto rotation.

The company said that is has improved the power management to help achieve longer battery autonomy for intense users. It will also develope its own user interface instead of the usual Android UI for easy access to entertainment and web bookmarks, smart integration with Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and Youtube in the address book. An exclusive Spinlets application will be preinstalled for free streaming of worldwide music and video, that can be shared with friends and family through web-posting or e-mail.

According to Chris, the HTC HD2 will first available in UK and Europe this month. It will be launched slowly through out the whole Asia by the end of the year. Good news is that the HTC HD2 will also be available for US users, which will be available around Q1 2010.

The HTC HD2 also features a large 4.3-inch capacitive touch screen, built in WiFi, GPS, bluetooth and powered by Qualcomm’s new 1Ghz Snapdragon mobile processor. The HD2 is the first Windows Phones that uses a capacitive display and microUSB connector. In addition, HTC smartphones has finally started to equip with a flash LED. There are 2 flash LED at the back of the HD2, which is also useful as a torch light. According to SlashGear’s live hands on report, “there’s no pause or delay to wait for jagged images to be rescaled, or half-chopped paragraphs to shuffle onto the screen.  The capacitive touchscreen itself is swift and smooth, and has instantly left resistive Windows Phones in the shade.”

The capacitive touch display on the HD2 supports multitouch for viewing, zooming and resizing websites, Microsoft Office files, PDF documents and pictures easier with just a pinch of your fingers. HTC has also included a new Windows-based version of its Twitter application, HTC Peep. The pictures you take with the 5MP camera can also be quickly shared via Facebook or Twitter.

Powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm 8250B CPU, the new TouchFLO 3D is very responsive to finger touch with no delay. While it is not sure that HTC Pro Three will be its actual name, we are definitely happy to see a dual flash LED added to the 5 megapixel camera module. Check out the video below.

Although the camera is not a 8 megapixel camera module but a 5 megapixel, HTC has finally putting a LED flash to help on the low light photography. The HTC Leo also could be named as HTC Pro Three according to the back view of the leaked prototype.

Orange is offering the HTC Hero for free to customers who take out a £39.15 per month, 24 month contract. The package includes 1200 any network call minutes, unlimited texts, as well as inclusive anytime internet browsing so users can make the most out of their mobile experience.

Francois Mahieu, Director of Devices, Orange UK said, “We’re really pleased to be launching our first Android handset in conjunction with HTC. The first of several Android devices you can expect from us this year, we believe the Hero is a great all round device which will allow consumers to get to grips with all the things they love about the internet, whilst on the move. In the hand, the Hero feels slimmer than the Magic, not least because of the bevelled edge. The HTC rep we talked to wasn’t sure whether the pre-production handset you see here has the Teflon back coating or not; it doesn’t feel especially different to a normal matte-finish panel.  The fingerprint-resistant screen is, as you’ll see in the shots, not particularly good at avoiding smudges in the first place, but like the iPhone 3GS it sheds them with a quick wipe.
