Today T-Mobile has made the announcement of their version (T-Mobile MDA Compact IV) of the HTC Touch Diamond, which is the variant we reported earlier today. The T-Mobile MDA Compact IV has the same feature as the new HTC Touch Diamond, it comes with a slightly different phone design. It is more rounded shape at the corner compare to HTC Touch Diamond.

The T-Mobile MDA Vario IV also featuring the new TouchFlo 3D user interface, but giving you an extra QWERTY in sliding format. With the extra keyboard add-on the smartphone thickness is now about 18mm, compare to the MDA Compact IV at 12mm. The T-Mobile MDA Vario IV also comes with built in WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and support HSDPA 7.2 Mbps data connection. It does not have a 4GB built in memory though, but good news is that you can easily fix it up with the microSD card slot.

I would have been happy if HTC kept the same h x w dimensions as the TyTN II and increased the screen diagonal, but I think I would choose this over the Compact IV.

Will this have a accelerometer too since they made trades-off for a keyboard?
if the new HTC Touch virtual keyboard works fine to me I will choose the Compact IV instead

id like to know when the the mda vario IV comes out in the US also… i love everything about it.. its look like a fun device. ive never seen that 1st pic b4 but the phones looks so sleek and sexy in that pic, and ive seen the 2nd pic several times before.
