Sony Naite GreenHeart Eco-friendly phone

Today Sony Ericsson have announced a new handset called the ‘Naite’, which is a green phone designed to be more eco-friendly by saving on power and packaging. The new Sony handset comes in two different colors, Vapour Silver (shown below) and Ginger Red.

The Naite is a traditional and nice looking candybar phone that comes with a plastic housing made with 50% recycled materials. The unlocked and unsubsidized phone doesn’t only help the environment but it also helps your pocket since it will cost you only $159.99 at the Sony Style web page but at this moment is “out of stock” though.

The Sony Ericsson device also comes with a low-power consumption charger, and leaves out a user manual to cut down on shipping costs and paper use of course. The Naite has quad-band GSM/EDGE and tri-band 850/1900/2100MHz 3G radios. And it packs Bluetooth (A2DP), FM radio with RDS, a 2 megapixel camera with video capture, Exchange ActiveSync support, microSD support, Facebook integration, Youtube, Google Search and Google Maps.

Good move to help reduce the waste material from the environment and recycle the old mobile phone parts. Most of the people wouldn’t mind using a mobile phone made of recycled parts as long the device works without any problems.
