Leaked yesterday, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 is officially announced with four color options. The Android smartphone uses a user interface similar to X10 mini. There are four-corners that give easy one hand use and can be customised for one touch access to your favourite applications. It comes in 3-inch touch screen, 3.5mm headphone jack, 3.2 megapixel camera, A-GPS, bluetooth and WiFi.
Other than the X8, the company has further confirmed that all Xperia X10, X10 mini and X10 mini pro smartphones will receive Android 2.1 upgrades in Q3. Xperia X10 will also get additional HD video recording with the software upgrade in Q3 and enhanced Timescape / Mediascape applications in Q4. Though, there is no mention of X8 upgrade which it will be also released with Android 1.6 initially.
The XPERIA X8 will be joining in selected markets from Q3 in the colours White, Dark Blue/ White, Aqua Blue/ White, Pink/ White, Silver/ White.
