Sierra Wireless today announced that the AirLink HSUPA product line is now certified for use on the AT&T BroadbandConnect wireless network in the United States. High-Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA) technology supports mobile broadband data speeds between 600 kilobits per second (kbps) and 1.2 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink and between 500 and 800 kbps on the uplink.

Built on a robust processing environment and featuring embedded ALEOS intelligence and both Serial and Ethernet ports, the AirLink Raven X is designed to support today’s highest speed cellular networks. The AirLink PinPoint X is a rugged intelligent in-vehicle platform embedded with ALEOS technology, enabling robust device configuration and network session persistence. Equipped with a high precision GPS receiver and advanced remote management capabilities, the PinPoint X is well-suited for a wide variety of mobile data and location applications requiring real-time and continual data access.

Both the Raven X and PinPoint X feature comprehensive remote device management and configuration capabilities through the AceWare suite of tools and utilities. Deeply coupled with ALEOS, AceWare allows customers to perform a rich set of configuration and diagnostic capabilities lowering total cost of ownership by minimizing field service visits.

The AirLink MP 881W is an in-vehicle modem built to withstand the rugged environments of the public safety, transportation, and field service industries - it meets U.S. Military 810-F and Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) J1455 specifications for vibration, shock, drop, rain, splash, sand, dust, humidity, and salt fog. The MP 881W includes an 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi hotspot and robust routing capabilities to simplify installation and communication between the modems and peripheral equipment, and to allow customers access to their mobile broadband coverage from outside the vehicle.
The MP 881W includes MP Modem Manager, which allows customers to remotely manage their entire fleet of MP modems. MP Modem Manager enables device configuration, over-the-air firmware updates and diagnostics and troubleshooting.
