Samsung S3370 is a Touchscreen Device With 3G

Meet the Samsung S3370. It’s one of the latest touchscreen devices from the manufacturer, and it seems to be positioned dead center in the mid-range suite of handsets. From what we can tell of these images, and from what we can decipher (we should have taken those Italian classes), this is running TouchWiz 2.0, and therefore built around the widgets that you can place on the three available screens.

There aren’t many details about the phone going around right now, other than the fact that the device seems to be a 3G-enbaled phone, but we’re not sure of what bands the device supports. Cellular Mania is saying that they think the phone will cost about 99 Euros when it does release some time later this year, so we’re wondering if it’s meant strictly for the wireless carriers on the other side of the pond. (Although, it did show up on the FCC’s site earlier this month, so that could be wrong.) It has the standard features, like Bluetooth connectivity, a media player, and it has a camera on the back. You guessed it, though, no word on what mega-pixel we’re looking at.

The big question at the moment, though, is whether or not the device is running a different, more substantial Operating System, rather than just TouchWiz 2.0. There are rumors that it’s running Android, but from the screens we’re looking at, it’s missing the one key element: the notification bar. We’ll be keeping our eyes on the look-out for any additional details.
