Samsung Exec Heading to US Cellular

We’ll take our eyes off the big boys out there, and we’ll focus on something a bit closer to home. Just for a minute, we promise. If you find yourself on the United States’ sixth largest wireless carrier, US Cellular, and you’re a fan of Windows Mobile, then we’ve got some good news for you. Samsung and US Cellular have officially announced the Samsung Exec, a business-class smartphone for the employee on the go.

The Samsung Exec is shipping with Windows Mobile 6.5 (and there’s obviously no mention of it getting upgraded to 6.5.3), and it comes with the obvious Microsoft services. If you check your email, you’ll be happy to know that it comes with Microsoft Office Outlook ActiveSync, for both personal and corporate. Additionally, you’ll find PowerPoint, and WordMobile on board, just to make sure that you can take care of all that productivity.

The Exec also features a full QWERTY keyboard that looks pretty roomy and comfortable to type on. It’s got a 2MP camera on the back, which also comes with a camcorder function. There’s also a music player on board, and you can expand the memory with a MicroSD card up to 32GB. You also have Windows Mobile Marketplace, so that’s just an extra bit of goodness for good measure. The Exec is available right now for $169.95 before mail-in rebate, and $99.95 after. Full press release below.
