Rumor: Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 Could Come Jan-2010

With the unannounced Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 leaked in July, Sony Ericsson has yet to confirmed this Android smartphone officially. According to mobilecrunch, its unnamed source is telling them that the company will make the X3 ready by January 2010, about the same time as Xperia X2 running windows mobile OS.

The Xperia X3 is also called Racheal, it could be powered by a fast 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, comes with a 8 megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS and 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Sony Ericsson has already said in May that it is putting more focus on Android platform, and it will be running with its unique user interface design on top of the Android OS.

    Xperia X1, and X2, are not good designs, sorry to say that but it is true. Thats why X1 never has succeded, and the X2 will not
    Why you will need keyboard separate, if the touchscreen features are improving?
    Now we are talking with this X3.
    It is like the Iphone, plus 8 Mpixel camera, plus Android.
    I am an ericsson folk, and went for a Omnia, because X1 was not good.
    A mobile smartphone must be small, thin, not heavy, and powerful.
    Now I will go for X3.

    On the contrary… These devices are usually considered pocket PCs, and not smartphones. On any device with a screen less than I would say… at least 6 inches in height (and at least half that in width for that matter), a hardware keyboard is necessary because an onscreen keyboard is simply not efficient. People prefer typing with their fingers, and not a stylus, and when it comes to onscreen typing that creates a three-headed problem from technical, hardware, and functionality stand points.

    Technically? A stronger individual could easily damage their screen, or a person having a bad day for that matter.

    Hardware-wise, an individual doing alot of typing using a stylus could easily scratch the screen.

    Functionally? It’s hard to read a screen with fingerprints on it.
