Rumor: 2nd Generation iPhone (with 3G) in Trial Test

Early this month we report a rumor on the Back design of new 3G iPhone. According to Engagdet source the new iPhone is going through a field test now, and the rumor about black design might be true.

The new 3G iPhone will be about the same size and design as the current iPhone. It is said to have built in GPS, as well as the 3G supported. The source also confirms that it is slightly thicker now, and have a full black glossy design at its back. Finally, it will be announced officially in this July, which is about the same schedule as previous rumors.

    I can almost completely confirm the new iPhone will be all black. I know a guy who works on these and has told me as of now, the design stands that it will no longer have the aluminum back (to cut cost), and will be replaced with an all black back. Whether or not it is a shinny or smoked black they haven’t decided.

    I heard they are also going to have different colors so more people will buy them because they are going to be $200 cheaper if u start or re new a 2 year contract.
