Palm Pre Plus for Verizon Wireless Now Available for $30

We’ll just go ahead and say what everyone is thinking at this point: just make the Palm Pre Plus free, Verizon. You’re just avoiding the inevitable, and there’s no point for it anymore. Obviously both Palm and Verizon believed that they could eke out a bit more money with the Pre’s slash in price, plus the fact that the wireless juggernaut isn’t charging for the mobile hotspot feature anymore. But, it’s not working, and so now the webOS flagship device has taken yet another price cut.

Verizon Wireless has officially cut the price from $49.99 to $29.99, which maks the Palm Pre Plus the same exact price as the less-powerful, smaller form factor Palm Pixi Plus. So, curious to say the least. There’s no word on whether or not the Pixi Plus will get a price cut too, but we imagine that if $30 is the mark that Verizon is aiming for, we figure it probably won’t matter. The big question is when will the device be made free, because from the looks of things, it’s inevitable.
