We’re starting to think that the United States doesn’t get all the cool phones anymore. (Despite the fact that may have been the case for awhile.) What you’re looking at is India’s first dual-powered phone. What’s that mean? It is compatible with AAA batteries. That’s right. You get to shove a battery into your phone now. How cool is that? We’re just hoping that ‘FrvrOn’ stands for ForeverOn, because we all know those little batteries last a really long time, right?

For what it’s worth, what you see in the picture is pretty much what you get. We’re looking at a very low-end phone right here. It’s got a 1.5-inch CSTN display with a resolution of 128×128. But it’s also got an FM radio on board, gives you polyphonic ringtones, built-in games, stereo headset, and speakerphone. Nothing really Earth-shattering in the features realm, but come on, it has a battery inside it!
Price wise, it’s next to dirt cheap. If you were looking to get one here in the States, and if we didn’t think about import taxes and the like, it’ll cost you about $37. If you’re in India, and this strikes your fancy, you should head over to Olive’s website, where they’ve got a few more pieces of info for you. You know, if you’re interested in the FrvrOn. And if you’re not in India, you should check it out anyway. After all, it has a . . . Well, you get it.
