Official List of Countries to Support Android Market Paid Apps

First announced to the Android software developers, here is the official list of countries that will be opened to Android Market’s paid apps. According to Google blog post, Android users from the 18 additional countries will be able to buy software through the Google Checkout / credit card. These include Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Israel, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Sweden, and Taiwan. Other existing supported countries are Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States. You should see the activation in 2 weeks time.

Other than buying software from Android Market, Google is also letting software developers from more countries to submit their application for sales. Developers from Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Israel, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland and Taiwan can now submit the paid applications from 30 September 2010.
