Telefónica O2 Germany will present the new navigation mobile phone of the O2 Xda series. The O2 Xda Guide will be available in the middle of February 2009 and comes with TomTom Navigator 7, the map material for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The smart phone is based on Windows Mobile 6.1 and ideally suited for mobile surfing the web due to the HSDPA and HSUPA capability, the Opera Mobile 9.5 browser and pre-installed services like Google Maps and YouTube.

The O2 Xda Guide is smaller and lighter than its predecessor, the O2 Xda Orbit 2, and includes the intuitive TouchFLO interface. Thanks to the 3.2 megapixel camera, the new footprint feature enables the creation of photos of the current location and sending them to friends with the position data. The recipients just to click on the photo in their device and are
navigated to the location. In addition, a collection of frequently visited locations can be created. The collection includes the generated footprints and can be quickly selected per photo.
