Nokia today announced the Nokia Wireless Loopset HS-67WL, an accessory designed specifically for improved mobile communications for people with hearing aids. The Loopset is expected to start shipping worldwide in the first quarter 2009, with an estimated price of less than 200 Euros, before applicable taxes or subsidies.

Compatible with handsets that use Bluetooth connectivity, the HS-67WL enables mobile calls to be accessed wirelessly through the hearing aid. Key features of the Nokia Wireless Loopset include a vibrating alert, user adjustable sidetone level for enhanced clarity and control of own voice, and optimized volume range and frequency response. With ease of use in mind, it comes with a comfortable neckloop and a single button for call handling.

Nokia introduced the first loopset, the Nokia LPS-1, more than a decade ago. The Nokia LPS-1 loopset was the first product of its kind in the world, enabling people with T-coil equipped hearing aids to use a digital mobile handset.

Bravo Nokia! UR only ones who do anything for deaf people.
I’m very satisfied bij my use of the nokia loopset LPS-4, high quality, but not all phones are compatibel with that. Know I want a new phone and this wireless new product would help me to choose from more models, but, unfortunately, it seems it is not yet available and I have to choose a new model within a few month’s,
I wonder if this HS-67WL is compatible with other phones, but because Nokia is the only one with this quality good product I certainly buy a nokia phone
I’m not deaf, I’m bad-hearing but my hearing aids are perfect and in combination with the lps-4 super, in the car or wherever

Is this neck loopset out yet? i tried to find a website where I can purchase it. I guess it’s unsuccessful. Please let me know. Thanks.
Does anyone know how the loop effects pacemakers? I’m interested in this product for my elderly father who has hearing aids and a pacemaker.
Thanks.
I just heard that release of this product has been delayed until 1st May 2009
This is excellent news.
I currently have a Nokia 6131 and use an LPS-4 loopset which is a excellent combination. It gives unrivalled clarity on both my cochlear implant and regular hearing aid. I use the handsfree function to take calls while driving and listen to music through it.
However I now wish to upgrade phones but the newer phones do not have a pop-port like my LPS-4 connects to.
I have selected the Nokia 3610 fold as my new phone model and believe that this will work on Bluetooth with the LPS-5 (HS_67WL). Fold phones work best for me without the loopset connected because the separation distance between the aerial and the earpiece is greater and there is less interference than with non-fold phones.
I understand release of the LPS-5 will be in May 2009
Latest news is that release will be in September 2009
