Samsung Electronics will continue its efforts to recycle electronics products in an environmentally-responsible manner by building and operating an efficient end-of-life electronic product recycling system.

Samsung-E200-eco-1

Samsung has been making an effort to develop more renewable and eco-friendly material compared with common plastic produced from petroleum. The new Samsung E200 do not contain BFRs (brominated flame retardants) or PVC. For gathering end-of-life mobile phones, Samsung offer pre-paid postage label to consumers in USA. Anywhere in USA, consumers print this label and send used mobile phone with label. Gathered used mobile phones will be delivered to recycling company.

In order to minimize power consumption, Samsung makes handsets that incorporate alerts to remind people to unplug the charger once the battery is fully charged. Moreover Samsung is developing special adapters that are highly energy efficient.
