Loading ...Getting a new sms but your Touch Diamond2 remain in standby mode without notification sound? HTC has just released a hotfix for those users who are facing this problem. The hotfix can be downloaded here, and can only be applied to ROM versions equal to 1.40.XXX.X or lower.
Hi. I downloaded this patch and installed (I got rom vers. 1.39.xxx
and it doesn’t help me.
I still don’t recieve sound notification upon sms arrival unless I turn vibrate while sms arrives when my Diamond2 goes in stdby.
But It happens only few minutes after it goes in stdby.
I tried all options in settings and nothing helps unless.

I installed this patch and phone still dosen’t inform on nev text message when is in standby mode.
i have the same problem the hotfix worked for a couple of days and now i still recieve not notication of a new message except for the flashing light really annoying!! Hope they bring out another hotfix for this problem that actually works.
solution
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL and at DisableSMSWakeUpEvent, change the value from 1 to 0

for me its the opposite when my TD2 is in standby i can hear my sms alert but in school and when i,m goin to bed or in at the movies where i have to make my phone silent i i dont get the green flashing led to indicate that i have a new sms………whats the fix for that??
