Despite the fact we had enough information about the latest “social” phones from Microsoft, we didn’t have all that much to satiate those who want to know every little detail. And, considering we’re some of those people, we understand how hard it can be. Well, thanks to Microsoft Germany, we can all stop waiting, and get into the nitty-gritty of what makes the Kin One and Kin Two tick.

All of the details were missing from the important pieces of paperwork being passed out earlier in the month: no details on the press release, and nothing all that detailed on the Kin One and Kin Two’s official website. We had to wait until now, when Microsoft Germany unveiled the information on their Facebook page, before we could get the details we really want. And, finally, here they are:
The Kin One is what we’ve been calling the Turtle for so long. It features a portrait sliding QWERTY keyboard, a 2.6-inch TFT QVGA (320 x 240) capacitive touchscreen, and it comes with a 5MP CMOS camera on the back with dual-LED flash. (That’s what we’ve already known, for the most part.) It comes with 256MB of RAM and 4GB of flash memory. It’s also rocking Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, WiFi b/g, and USB 2.0. It’s also packing GPS and an FM radio. The battery is apparently of the 1240 mAh variety.
The Kin Two, or the Pure if you prefer, is a landscape slider, also with a full QWERTY keyboard. The screen is a 3.4-inch TFT HVGA (480 x 320) capacitive touchscreen, and there’s an 8MP autofocus HDR CMOS camera on the back and a Lumi LED flash. Under the hood it has 256MB of RAM and 8GB of flash memory. It’s also featuring Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, WiFi b/g, and USB 2.0. The same GPS and integrated FM Radio are also present. The battery is a bit bigger for the Kin Two, though, packing a 1390 mAh under the back plate.
So, nothing groundbreaking, but there are at least some interesting points in there. Most of which center around the Kin Two, with that 8MP camera on the back, and the 8GB of internal memory. We’re not sure if anyone out there is going to actually buy the Kin One when it launches on Verizon Wireless next month, especially considering it’s launching alongside the Kin Two. But, we imagine we’ll be pretty surprised. What about you? Which one are you getting?
