My MP3 player works just fine. Did you create a play list when you hooked your phone up to your comp? That would help. But I admit, the phone does have it’s flaws. Does anyone ever go to your contact list and it has made duplicates of the numbers all on its own? or tried to send a picture text, and it tell you you don’t have picture talk on your phone? I should of just gotten the Rokr….

I have the 2gig memory card. I formatted the card then used the USB cord to drag the mp3 files to th mymusic folder. I have over 123 mp3 files but the player only lets you play 50 @ a time. Still trying to figure out the myTunes & why I can’t drag music into there a play.
Who gives a fuck, why have a fun that you have to bend over backwards to work. The fucking chinese could have put a little more effort in this god damn technology. My friend has a fucking sprint that does more then this phone and he got that bitch for 30 dollars.

Ok I have a question and a comment. First of all, I agree about metro pcs having crappy service. I have had problems with my phone also, and they refused to exchange it for another, saying they could not replicate the problem, therefore it wasn’t happening! I was having really poor reception. I got one of the antenna boosters and they reprogrammed my phone (the original location where I got the phone…the metro pcs main location wouldn’t even do that much for me!!!!) It seemed to help and I haven’t had as many dropped calls since. NOW for my problem….I figured out how to download mp3’s into the mp3 player just fine. I have a 2 gb card in it. NOW I would like to transfer those mp3’s to ringtones and can’t get them from “My music” to “my tunes” where the ringtones are!!! HOW do I download ringtones without buying them? I can’t find my original usb plug either…all the ones I have here are too big to plug into the phone. What size do I need to buy if I were to replace it????
I got this phone 4 my birthday and it works. Yes u need a memroy card BUT IT WORKS!! its really cool. people who say its bitchy, just dont know HOW to use it.
I have the ZTE thats not a flip phone and its purple, and i can get online and download a song or pic BUT my phone does not give me the option to save it to my phone, i can only save stuff to my phone from messages. im so irritated.

IN ORDER TO PUT MUSIC ON THE MP3 PLAYER YOU HAVE TO FIRST DOWNLOAD MUSIC ONTO YOUR COMPUTER IN MP3 FORMAT, THEN WHILE YOUR PHONE IS STILL PLUGGED INTO THE COMPUTER YOU HAVE TO MOVE THE MUSIC INTO THE MYMUSIC FOLDER. AFTER THAT YOUR MUSIC PLAYER SHOULD WORK. (YOU CAN’T CHANGE THE MUSIC FORMAT TO MP3, YOU HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THE MUSIC IN MP3 FORMAT.) I’M STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO USE THE MUSIC AS RINGTONES, WHEN I DO I WILL LET YOU KNOW WHAT I DID.
ANOTHER THING, AFTER YOU PUT THE MUSIC IN THE MYMUSIC FOLDER YOU HAVE TO ‘CREATE A PLAYLIST’ TO USE THE MUSIC.

I, like so many others on here, am having trouble getting the ringtones that I have to load into the MyTunes folder. Sounds like they are wanting us to only use ringtones that we purchase…that really sucks because I have my own ringtone that is a clip of one of my bands songs and I can’t even load my own ringtone without paying for it?!
I even tried creating a folder when I had the MicroSD card connected to my computer called MyTunes. No dice. This phone sounds like it has a definite drawback now….they only allow you to use ringtones that you purchase. Good for those selling ringtones I suppose, but bad for anyone else that wants to have their kids voice, or their own songs on their phone.

ok it took me some time but i got it .
download your cds to
windows media player, rip, more options ,rip settings
format, mpeg1 audio layer 3 (mp3),apply
go to music file send to ( what ever your cp uses for the card)
you have to pick the songs one at a time and then drag them to my music folder
i hope this helps some of you i was about to toss my phone but i was determind to get it to work. good luck

To get the MP3 (micro sd card) to work, you first must format the micro sd card. Put the card in your phone, go to the menu and select “Music & Media”, then go to “Format MicroSD”. Take the card out of the phone and place it in the card reader adapter. Save your music files to the designated “removable disk” area………ex. E,F,D or what ever. Place your card back in the phone, go to “Music & Media” and enjoy!! Hope this helps you all.

Did anyone figure out how to transfer music from the mymusic folder on the SD card to the mytunes folder on the phone. ANYONE! Everything else is working perfectly besides that. I went to one of my local MetroPCS stores and they informed me that it isn’t possible to use your own music as ringtones. They have to be downloaded from the web. That’s messed up, but besides that I really do like this phone. Believe it or not I like it better than the Razr that just went out on me after less than a year.

1: buy a mircoSD card
2: place microSD card in phone
3: go to your music and media
4: press 7, should be Format MicroSD
5: go home and plug it in the usb charger connection cable
6: add your pics and MP3 music…. KEY WORD —>MP3
7: unplug your phone
8: check it out, your phone has music, and pretty good sound quality too

I was having problems getting realtones….yes they have to be bluetoothed to your phone …the tricky part was where i got frustrated..i set the real tone for voice calls but when my husband called all it played was that damn pop 1…fortunately he talked me down from seeing how far this phone would fly…..if someone is in your contacts you have to set their ringtone individually…i hope this helps some ppl
to put music ringtones to ur phone someone needs to send it to ur phone u save it then after u save it go to ur tunes click on the square click browse then set as but u have to put it to every person on ur contacts it wont work if u put it to incoming calls
also you don’t have to pay for ringtones ..you can get software for 20 bucks that will allow you to turn any song you want into a ringtone…you get to make it from any part of the song you like….i got the magix one..you’ll love it

I have this phone and it works perfectly.
I just purchased a 2GB Memory Card from BlockBuster for $13.
I have plenty of songs on it and if you read the directions you won’t have any problems. The only thing is you can’t download ringtones from sites like FunForMobile.
But other than that it works great.
