LG has announced their upcoming android smartphone called Optimus Nexus. We have heard plenty about the device recently and it seems something new is coming up. According to the rumor, the Optimus Nexus might be Google’s next smartphone.

The source mentioned Google may be going with LG to produce the upcoming Nexus device and it turns out to be true. Google will be using the LG Optimus G, although it is still running on Android Ice Cream Sandwich but we believe it would run on Jelly Bean by the time it hits the States in November. The device features a 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, a 13 MP rear camera, and 4.7-inch WXGA True HD IPSPlus 1280 x 768 display.

Considering Google bought Motorola wouldn’t it make more sense (though probably a nightmare with competition law) if the next Nexus phone was made by them.
    Or Samsung again…

I’d love to get the LG Optimus G. Being the new nexus device would just be a bonus.
