Ok, I don't have time for a full detailed review but I'll try to cover the basics. This phone is awesome, I bought it the day it came out after looking at the Voyager and the Glyde and reading several reviews for months on all the different touchscreen phones. This thing looks far better than both and the features are much better as well.

I bought from this online shop.

I bought the Dare in early August for one reason: its Drawing Pad application. My intention was to draw with it to make art. I use my phone in this way every day and I post them to my web site. You can take a look here:

http://www.beatcanvas.com/verizon_lg_dare_art.asp

Thought the palette is limited to about 7 colors, I've recently figured out how to squeeze turquoise and orange from the Drawing Pad app as well (using the rainbow tool), as you can see in my recent sketch of a rooster at my web site.

Let me suggest this:

The cell phone started out as mechanism for communication, then became a means for productivity (calendaring, reading network email, etc), then grew into a channel for entertainment (video, Internet, songs). I think the cell phone could move next to become a device for creativity - that's an uncaptured, unexplored market segment. If LG and other manufacturers build higher end capabilities into the phone, I believe there's a huge opportunity for the phone to become much more addictive than it already is.

I love my LG dare. The best camera on the American market, cool interface, nice touch screen that I have no problem operating. I prefer this to iphone myself, I haven't seen the instinct but being on verizon is part of what makes Dare good.

I am very happy with the LG Dare also and just to note i do not agree with infosyncworlds S****y review on the dare at all. I mean come on who trys to use there speaker phone in downtown manhattan being as loud as it is, and its a cell phone the web browser is not perfect not even on the iphone it even scrambles stuff up sometimes, i also found no issues with my scrolling or any of the other touch functions like they did. With the thouch keyboard you just have to get use to it like anything else, i love the drawing pad on the phone for when im bored. Being able to put shortcuts on the "desktop" of the phone is great to becuz you can justunlock the screen and pik what you need right there. So all in all i completley disagree with infosyncs review and would have gave this phone a 100%

I am very happy with LG Dare. The touch screen is responsive, input is accurate, scrolling if fine, handwriting recognition is very good. I do not miss a keypad. I put loads of music from my personal collection on micro sd and the player's interface is very thorough, speaker is loud. Camera takss stills and video and both look great. In fact, I was surprised to find the camera options are plentiful, useful and easier to configure than my $350 Canon digicam. Panorama function is easy as can be.
