LG Arena Touch Screen Phone Launches in Europe

LG today announced the release of its new multimedia touch screen phone, LG ARENA (LG-KM900) in Europe. According to the company, LG Arena has already achieved one million unit pre-orders from various carriers around the world since its announcement in February.

LG ARENA includes the world’s first Dolby Mobile technology for a globally released handset, to deliver an exhilarating surround sound experience for video content with its 3.0-inch WVGA screen.

Debuting on ARENA, LG’s new S-Class UI was designed from the very start to leverage the advantages of touchscreens and eliminate unnecessary menus and steps. At its core is a 3D cube layout that provides four customizable home screens. Users can have easier access to all features by flipping the cube with just the flick of a finger. The Elastic Lists feature is one of a kind with list items being stretched like a rubber band when touched, eliminating the extra step of switching to a new screen for other choices. Fast yet smooth 3D transitions between menus are made possible with the help of a powerful AMD processor.

Video and photos can easily be shared on social networking sites, thanks to 3G HSDPA 7.2 networks and Wi-Fi. FM transmitter and 3.5 mm audio jack always leave space for users who want to enjoy their music in the car, at home on a stereo or anywhere with preferred ear phones. Other advanced features include Google Mobile Service, A-GPS and geo-tagging.

LG ARENA will be available in silver and black titanium colour schemes and available for purchase starting in March in major European markets.

I got my LG Arena, still getting to grips with it; creating menu short cuts and fiddling with the ring tones and things but it’s the email that I find the most tricky to sort out. It can be a pain in the neck to set up, in my humble opinion, and always takes the longest of all the features in your phone to organise.

If you’re looking for some tips on how to sync up your email accounts on your KM900, check out http://www.LG-Arena.org They’ve got an all-encompassing, how-to on the subject.

You’ll be able to have your server and web based email trussed up in their relative accounts in no time.
