KDDI shows off cellphone-stored images on e-paper

You won’t need this device individually. But if you’re working for a finance or insurance company, might be you need it to handle of your customers’ personal information.

Yeah, the “Portable Viewer System” assuming that it would be used to display a full-scale A4 size pamphlet while ensuring high security using mobile phone functions such as remote lock and remote data deletion.

The display wirelessly transmit an image stored in a mobile phone through infrared connection and displays it on a 13.1-inch color electronic paper display. Since the handset will handle all operations for this activity, the display only has a power button.

The creator, KDDI R&D Laboratories Inc, claims that the prototype is the first electronic paper that displays images stored in a mobile phone.
