While iPhone OS 3.0 will be released this week to the current iPhone users, iPhone Dev Team has promised to release an unlock tool called ultrasn0w this Friday. It is unsure that if ultrasn0w can be used on the new iPhone 3G S, the team should be able to do further testing when the 3G S is available.
