Hummer and ModeLabs Introduces Hummer HT2

The ModeLabs Group is announcing the design and distribution of the new HT2 HUMMER mobile phone. The product is being launched as part of the exclusive licensing contract concluded in February 2007 with HUMMER, a division of the General Motors Corporation.

The HT2 has up to 500 hours of autonomy in stand-by mode, is quad-band and features Dual-SIM (two lines in a single mobile), a built-in modem and e-mail client. The press release did not mention if it is Dual GSM or GSM + CDMA line though. Other features include

  • 256k colors, 176 x 220 pixel TFT display screen
  • 2 megapixel camera
  • media player (mp3)
  • 11 MB built in memory
  • microSD card slot
  • GPRS
  • Bluetooth
  • 103 x 51 x 12 mm

More than 50,000 HUMMER HT1 mobiles have been sold worldwide. The HUMMER HT2 will be marketed in Russia in the first quarter of 2008 and in Latin America at the end of the second quarter.
