Discovered on one of the prototype Windows Mobile ROM, HTC is working on a Mobile Wi-Fi Router software for its Windows Phone. The software allows you to use your pda phone as a Wi-Fi access point/router, sharing your wireless data connection to other gadgets like notebooks. The software is running fine with my Touch HD, though I am not able to test the maximum devices it will allow to connect to your phone. Check out this post at xda-developer for details.

I would normaly use a USB cable to share my Touch HD’s wireless data connection with my notebook, but this Mobile Wi-Fi Router will fit nicely to share with a few of friends when needed. Currently, the leaked version will not work if turn off your phone’s display screen. We should see some changes to this in the final version.
