HTC Triumph and White HTC Touch Pro2 Shown Off in TELUS Inventory
One of our favorite things to look at, as you know, our inventory screens. Especially leaked ones that show us incredibly noteworthy things. Take, for example, this latest release from a TELUS internal inventory screen somewhere up in the Great North. Looks like HTC are getting ready to ship two very distinct devices up their way, and we couldn’t be more interested even if we tried to be.
After all, seeing the Touch Pro2 in white would be pretty awesome, in of itself. But, while that’s all well and good, there’s something a bit more interesting caught in the same image. It’s called the HTC Triumph, and we have no idea what it is. There’s all sorts of rumors out there right now, like how it could be TELUS’ answer to the HTC Desire/Incredible. Or, it could be something like the Nexus One. Or it could be something completely different.
We can’t be positive, but we’ll go ahead and stick our hat in the guessing game. When HTC’s 2010 roadmap leaked months back, there was a device on there listed as the HTC Trophy. It was a slate, with a full QWERTY keyboard and a 3-inch capacitive touchscreen. It was running Windows Mobile, back in the day of the slide. Now, yes, it’s definitely far more likely that TELUS is indeed getting their own version of the HTC Incredible, or maybe even the HD2, but we want to add a bit of difference to the rumors. So, here’s hoping the Trophy gets released.
Now, for the white version of the Touch Pro2. Nothing else is different about the Canadian release, except for the aesthetic alteration. You’re still getting a 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen, Windows Mobile 6.1 that’s skinned with HTC’s TouchFLO 3D, and a 3.2MP camera on the back. You also get WiFi b/g, GPS, and Bluetooth. There’s 16GB of storage, too.
