Sprint’s premiere handset is still, roughly, about a month away from release, if the June estimates are accurate at all, and obviously the wireless carrier wants to get a handle on the demand for the device. What’s the best way to do that then to have people smack their hard earned cash down for a phone they’ve never touched, thanks to pre-orders?

Thanks to a leaked screenshot, coming right out of The Shack, the Sprint HTC EVO is definitely coming soon, and The Shack wants to make sure everyone knows that pre-orders are going to kick off by the end of this month. Unfortunately, the leaked screenshot doesn’t say anything about what the official price will be once the phone gets launched, or even what the data plan you’ll have to associate with your handset will be. You know, all the important stuff.
That doesn’t mean we haven’t heard rumors, of course. The biggest one has the HTC EVO going for $199.99 on a new, two-year contract, where there will obviously be a mail-in rebate involved, too. Now, with Best Buy supposedly set to start pre-selling the 4G handset in May, too, there’s no surprise here that The Shack would want to get in on the goodness, too. With that 4.3-inch screen, Android 2.1 goodness, and the 1GHz processor powering the whole show, who wouldn’t want to sell this phone? Or buy it, for that matter.
